The OG 3DO boat was for sale not too long ago, I think for a very good price. It still has the name written on the bow…Maximus..?
@Tank if your buddy is looking for a Spectre there’s some good deals on a couple others too. Maxed Out has a 32 that’s very nice with a lot of high dollar stuff...
Congrats to Tony, John and the DCB team. Amazing numbers from a brand new boat! The company and the culture they’ve built there is truly second to none.
The main level will be ~2000 sq ft, 3 bed 2.5 bath. The basement will be unfinished for now, also 2000 sq ft and will have a guest suite, 1/2 bath, game room, living room/theater, bar and a gym. But that’ll get finished slowly over time. Garage is 50x50
All underslab plumbing has been done for the basement. Next up is backfill but we gotta waterproof the basement walls first which is a tar-like coating. With temps ranging from 20-40 this week, we gotta wait on that till it warms up a bit. Hopefully next week.
They’re still in business and build a lot of center consoles these days. I don’t think they’ve been too successful building sportboats as of late, it seems any they build sit on the market forever.
I don’t think that’s a new boat either, I bet it’s one of their mid 2000s race boats. Pretty...
Anybody listen to this podcast? I’ve tried several times but between the lack of interview skills and the shitty audio quality, I end up turning it off. Some episodes are better than others, but by and large it’s pretty awful.
It’s too bad too, I think it’s got a lot of potential and would...
I had everything in USAA for a long time and dumped them around 2015. Between a single vehicle accident claim that was a nightmare resulting in them totaling a car that shouldn’t have been, to them “approving” me for a car loan then screwing me at the last second saying they wouldn’t loan the...
Yep, the trades have slowed down so they’re all waiting for work. Rough in plumbing is next and the guy is already on standby for next week lol. They used to be 6+ weeks backed up. It’s working in my favor because the concrete guys that did the walls said they want to do the house and garage...
Just read thru this entire thread and I’ll share my experience as I know it. For context, I had an Advantage 27 Victory with a Teague 825 that ran mid 80s but liked to chinewalk. So I did a ton of research on fast single engine v-bottoms to see how they were setup.
Drive height: most fast v...
Walls are up! Super excited about this. A couple pics with my 9 & 7 year old for size reference.
Love this view out the back of the house 😍
Garage:
Of course, my kids’ favorite part is the dirt pile in the front yard and asked if we can keep that after the house is done lol.
What a difference a couple hours makes! ~5hrs after the above pictures, this is what it looked like. These guys are awesome!
2nd picture is the garage walls and gonna need A LOT of dirt to fill that in 😳
Footers are poured and A LOT of rebar is going up for the basement walls and garage retaining wall. The wall on the back of the garage (last picture) is going to end up being 11ft tall in order to bring it up to grade 😬. A little more than we thought it would be.
Wow!
Years ago I heard (from a good source) that he went everywhere with a team of bodyguards and had cutouts in the side panels for the boats for AR15s and stuff…makes more sense now.
