RIP Roadkill and Motortrend TV Shows

thank you. all of the stuff you mentioned really is the good stuff. I don't remember many of the wins; its the losses that really stuck with me. :)

'Lets go' how long do we need to hear this

Here's a good story: I'm playing blackjack at the the Bluewater and the center seat is empty. A younger guy rolls up, doesn't sit down, and begins making wild ass bets. More than once this dude is splitting Queens and winning. Every time he wins he screams at the top of his lungs, "Let's Go!"...

RIP Roadkill and Motortrend TV Shows

I left socal 10 years ago and haven't wasted a nanosecond second-guessing that decision. I go back enough to visit family and work that the only thing I miss there are hot rod boats, my friends and Mexican food.

    Baja 1k two dead

drive-by-wire systems, even the aftermarket ones, default to the closed throttle position when there is an issue with the pedal, voltage, or throttle body. it sounded like he just was revving the engine and forgot the truck was in drive.

    Is Print Dead?

Corporations kill creativity. And yes, you're right at some point whoever owns the ship is gonna sell it and the crew is gonna pay the price. Every magazine (except Hot Rod) I've ever written for or edited was sold several times and killed. I got out of the print game in 2013 because it was...

    Is Print Dead?

The issue with catering to advertisers first and the subscribers second is that in the end, the content you produce becomes a paid-for, watered-down mess. Do that long enough and you lose the audience and now you have to reduce your ad rates. Its a balancing act but serving the audience first is...

    You can’t park there

a pop off and/or a jet-a-way is not going to help that driver avoid the collision he had. Neither of those items is going to change how the boat steers when the engine is turned off and the jet drive has zero thrust output. I'd bet that a small skeg on the bottom of the steering nozzle would...

New to Jet Boats but not new boats

You have a nice, unmolested example of a Rogers Super Cyclone. Its even got the original Rogers air scoop on the carburetor, which is very cool. There's lots of good people here and none more knowledgeable about Rogers boats than Old Rigger. Have fun!

    Social media value to businesses.

Most magazines aren't worth more than a glance at. It's sad but true. I still read a shitload of books, though. lol

NRE builds 2000hp “mercury killer” boat motor..

The NRE Mirror Image turbos work well and really do make packaging the turbos hot and cold sides so much better than standard turbos. Havent personally owned an NRE engine before but have met several peeps who have been happy with theirs.

I miss Hotboat Magazine and Boat Trader

every time I go to Parker or Havasu I grab the white sheet and scan it for old cars and boats. there's hardly any for sale in there now. most every used fb marketplace to sell their toys.
