More like 88-128 BILLION 😡😡 And not a single penny being spent on new infrastructure for water… insanity!! And they want to dry up 1.5 million acres of the best farm ground in the country… :(
Smelt, L.A. Fires, and Water Supply. You're looking at the last 30 days of Delta outflows, where freshwater runs into the sea daily, instead of being captured into storage through pumping. As a reminder, when pumping is reduced, outflow is increased. Less than 2,500 cfs per 24 hours is needed to...
An electoral college type system in California would help a lot. The coastal, heavy population centers are walking all over the lesser populated areas and deciding elections for everyone.

No water in the fire hydrants 🤷🏻♂️ who do you blame for that? Newsom always seem to always have plenty of money for homeless and all his other wasteful bullshit programs! No water for the fireman to fight fires with are you kidding me actually plenty of people to point blame.

8/7/2024: The draconian water restrictions, which take effect January 1st, are supposed to lead to the conservation of 400,000 to 500,000 acre feet of water a year by 2040. It will be done by ratcheting down indoor water use to a scant 42 gallons per person per day, with fines of up to $10,000 a...
FYI...200 liters a second is about 4.5 million gallons a day. Meanwhile, California just passed permanent water restrictions on July 6, when the Water Board approved "Making Conservation a Way of Life." The policy will ratchet down indoor water use to an eventual 42 gallons per person per day to...

Just curious how many acres is in your district total? Only reason I ask is the gov is trying to do something similar in our districts up in central cal except they don’t want to pay us to fallow.
This picture below looks like a major waste of resources if you ask me. Growing food no matter where it ends up is not in my opinion.
Over 16 million acre feet has been allowed to bypass the pumps and drain into the sea so far this water year. It would have taken a fraction of that to be...
