Last year the service was sooo bad, we vowed to never go back. The menu had 4 things on it. If you wanted real food, you needed to sit inside. Yes, I drove from LHC up river to sit inside at a beach bar.
This year, due to Topock being closed, we gave it one more chance during DS. Menu got...
Wont take the boat out on that weekend or any other holiday weekend. Usually only go to float in the pool and then down to Site 6 to watch people ram boats into the back of trucks.
Headed to Hermosa Beach instead. Keep us posted on check points.

I agree. Furnished is the way to go for sure. That is how I got mine and my snowbirds that just left found and bought a house furnished with a boat deep garage for $165k in LHC.
Mercedes ML55 - Tows the boat just fine and makes the boat look bigger than when I was towing with an extra cab Dodge 2500.
I have had all brands of trucks. They all broke. Maybe because of my lead foot.
The only reason I still have this one is that it broke big time and the repair bill...
Bought my house at the top of the bubble. It's down over $100k. I would do it again based on the trips and good times we have had over the last 5+ years. We have a pool to get as drunk as we want in and have the dog there with us.
Make sure you add up the gas it takes to pull the boat to...
If the test is so inacurate, can't a lawyer easily get it thrown out in court? What if you tell them "NO" to the Blow test and ask for a blood test? Will they take you to the station, or get an EMT down there?
Where do they usually have the check points? I go out to enjoy the water with my wife, not be treated like a criminal, harassed and searched.
I like to have 3-4 beers over a 6 hour span. This will not get me drunk, but if pulled over, would make my stomach knot up.
Why can't they stick...
Word for Word from JC Marine in LHC.
"Perform Comp test found 135 PSI to 140 PSI in all cyls except No 6 and 7 Both Cyls were under 100 PSI. Possible valve job is needed"
I sent the boat in for service last week and got some bad news. After a compression test, they recommend a valve job. I guess compression is down in 2 cylinders. CRAP!!
He quoted $2700 for a complete valve job for my 502 MPI Mercruiser. Any thoughts?
Should I look for aftermarket...
Might as well give mine a some fresh exposure. The pool is Awesome!! There is a Baja shelf by the pool about 1' deep. Straight shot to the Windosor ramp. 4 bedrooms and sleeps 10 if you pull out the couch. I am having the exterior of the house repainted in 2 weeks.
