Sounds like capt roid rage flew under the bridge at speed. FYI, in Florida where I do believe this occurred you’re supposed to slow to idle while going under the over passes.

3rd, “bro…..” actually handled himself pretty well. Deescalated. He was talking a. Little shit at the beginning but really he was trying to get this fuck tard to leave him alone from the beginning.

4th, home boy is bound to jump on the wrong boat if this is his MO. COURSE, I doubt he’d be jumping on someone boat like that if it wasn’t a kid by himself.


Dug into this a little more and both the sheriff and the coast guard are looking into charges and pulling dickheads license. There’s also locals talking shit about dude saying this doesn’t surprise them and he’s only been fishing the area for 10 years. 😂😂😂 best charter captain ever. Mmmmm no.

I usually dont agree with “this is why you have a gun” statements because the circumstances just don’t rise to the occasion usually. Shit ain’t no movie where you can just cap people. But this case? Yeah, I’d have my gun out as he rolled up next to me. Jump on the boat? Red dot on that dip shit like “jump in the water or take a bullet mother fucker” and I think it’d be 100% justified. Guys unhinged. You don’t know if he’s armed. Jumping on your boat and coming at you? Failure drill.

I'm not the one to pretend I'm a bad ass... I would have probably missed myself if this guy jumped on my boat. But I would have kept my mouth shut and just told him to leave.

But in this case, there is no place to safely leave the scene as you are being targeted. The issue with pulling the weapon out and showing it is called brandishing ( I'm sure you know that) but that can get you in a lot of trouble as he will tattle tell to the cops once he heads to the dock that there is a crazy person with a gun.. So....once he jumps in the boat, the gun is at the helm and off it goes... Self defense.

Who knows.. the guy is way outta line.

I think the kid did alright given the circumstances.. but he made a major mistake letting that guy get close enough to get in the boat.

He shoulda just kept movement and distance.. I’d never let someone that unhinged get in the boat..

That said If I was that age, I’d give him the double birds on the way out. lol.

Good to see this actually . . . . haven't had an on the water confrontation in decades . . . this is a good reminder of how things can go south real quick.

2 years ago I was fishing solo around this time of year on the main river about 5 miles above Walters Camp where I had launched.
This was mid-week, so there wasn't another boat on the water . . . then I see one coming down river on the same side I'm on.
I'm maybe 20 feet off the bank on the trolling motor . . . and they keep coming.
I see there's 3-4 in what looks like an older boat with an outboard.
I moved close to the shore since it didn't look like they were going to move . . . sure enough, they kept straight and blasted by me maybe 15 feet away.
They had the WHOLE river . . . and no, there wasn't a 'channel' that whole stretch of river was plenty deep to run as the water was way up !
Since knowing that area has some pretty sketchy dudes, and it was mid-week and I'm solo, I didn't even look their way . . . I just braced for the wake.

Later when I rolled into Walters . . . sure as shit, there they are, . . . fishing.
Turns out one of them was a chick, and I could hear her trucker-voice sounding like 'Large Marge' over the water from across the channel.
So I pull up directly across from them on the opposite side of the channel, drop my trolling motor, and go up to the bow and start casting . . . and as luck would have it, I start LOOPING the bass throwing a swimbait along the tulie line !!! I'm talking every 2nd or 3rd cast . . . and fat ones too !!!

So of course I start playing it up , letting the bass do their acrobatics, & letting 'em splash on the surface a little extra long, then reaching down to grab the fish saying outloud 'Damn, another nice one, fuck yeah, ' !!!!

After about a dozen fish, they finally fire up their piece of shit and idle off . . . . but I got my revenge !!! :cool: :cool: :cool:

Idiots.
