Cleared up enough that I could see it but couldn't get a good pic. It wasn't heading south like normal, it was heading west, out to sea

They seem to head west when the booster goes back to Vandenburg.

This is a terrible cellphone pic, but here's the moment it separated. View from Pasadena, CA.

… I forget what you call the section that they can’t retrieve… but Musk said that it is doable… I can’t remember what the timeframe was… It possibly was three years… Then they will be able to retrieve that other section… Said it will save huge sums of money… I believe he said the goal is to be able to retrieve it all and be able to relaunch it the next day… Damn, never thought I would see this stuff in my lifetime 🤷🏽‍♀️

Another success story of privatization of government work. If I understand correctly.

SpaceX just “launched” a new project with my company! lol, we’re doing some break room cabinets for them I believe. Got contract yesterday.

Also, I think I need to buy a Tesla to support Musk. I keep saying it and think I just need to pull the trigger! Personalize plate, chgordr
lol

Vandenberg are North South and Florida are east west flights. The Air force sends Minuteman missiles from there to kwajalein for testing.

This afternoon:
I just watched a FOX news segment on the mission to bring back Butch and Sunny.
NASA never mentioned Musk or SpaceX. Fox called them Hero’s and superhero’s.
Wouldn’t the hero be the rescuer who voluntarily risked their assets to save 2 stranded victims?

Kevin Corke on FOX just corrected the earlier report and acknowledged Musk and Spacex for the rescue mission. Hopefully NASA gets the message and stops being biased.

That "Thank-You for flying SpaceX" from the ground crew to the astronauts once they reached orbit was pretty badass.
I expect it caused a blood pressure increase NASA's top brass.

It's a NASA/SpaceX Crew 10 flight. It's the 10th Commercial Crew Rotation to the ISS under this commercial program. The four astronauts onboard will remain on the ISS, while the two stranded and two other's from Crew 9 will then use the capsule to depart.
This isn't a volunteer rescue mission, it's a crew rotation. The other two remaining members of Crew 9, will be brought home on by a Soyuz capsule that is scheduled to arrive with three astronauts in the near future.

A guy from NASA was just on and said that NASA is non-partisan.
But they already showed the clip from the Space Station where the Astronauts said that Biden told NASA to delay the rescue.

Are you talking about the interstage?

At least on the Saturn V the interstage was a ring that connected the stages together. It was commonly seen in the one shot of Apollo ejecting it while burning a stage engine and it showing “flame” as it got left behind as a pretty cool shot.

Hot Stage ring, they are going to eventually integrate it into the booster

… I was attempting to re-reiterate Musks verbiage when he was being interviewed …or more properly put …having an in depth conversation with Joe Rogan on the Joe Rogan show…

… Instead of me, stepping on my tongue here… And if you have not seen Musks last guest appearance on the Joe Rogan show… I highly recommend it…

… His explanation of parts and pieces that they will be trying to retrieve on future launches…boils down to… It would be great if they could retrieve everything and be able re-launch it all the next day… mostly a wouldn’t be nice statement… He made a point of the cost-effectiveness… of reusability👍

… I watched that whole deal the other night, the dock up… The Interlude… And finally, the entrance of the new astronauts… I was impressed… It took me back to my highly technical days in electronics… And the finesse required for engineering… Design… Assembly, etc., for something of this magnitude…👍
