You don't waste any time, do you? :)

We're obviously very proud of our recently released M42R, and this M45 furthers DCB's commitment to new product and being a relevant force in the performance marine industry.

With a LOA of 45', a beam of 11'3", this true-tunnel design is designed to perform well with Mercury 1100 QC4v's, and will only perform better as that HP number gets bigger.

The molds are being finished up, with the first boat starting here at our Phoenix, AZ facility in March.

Between Tony and myself, we'll chronicle this build. The first boat will be the "house boat" for dialing in and giving demos. If you thought the performance of the M42R is badass, wait until we put a couple thousand-plus more horses to the water!

Stay tuned...

What's this 1st 45 gettin for power? I know you said designed for 1100s but...........

On a side note: if you aren't gonna run your badass Eliminator (like 2024) & just let it sit I could keep fresh gas in it & exercise it as needed, just sayin

The tooling is quite intricate!
All the drip channels and recess for flooring, etc is pretty bad ass👍

Is also a royal pain to gelcoat, laminate!
You guys have your program dialed in so the results should be spectacular👍👍

Got it...that's at Marine Concepts, and is someone else's project. I have to take extreme care and sign my life away when I'm there, that's why they put walls up next to our project, so it's not photographable by others, and have to respect the other projects alongside ours as well. They have multiple enormous buildings with projects for a lot of big builders such as Viking, Scout, etc. We are very proud to partner with them on multiple projects they are great to work with. Our 45-footer is nothing for these guys, there are 50'+ models being designed and tooled alongside our "little" hot rod.

That being said, it's a pay-to-play situation, and the amount we've spent in the past 15 months has multiple commas left of the decimal and quite a few zeros as well. We are serious about our future, and our new models are designed from the ground up, not tacking bustles onto existing models and creating something "new". The effort to do this stuff is real, and we are proud of our efforts, collaborations and results. I truly hope everyone gets to experience any of our current and new products in the future, we're building really cool stuff.

I am very excited for the future for you guys!! I’m shocked you are already moving locations, but it shows legit commitment!

Am I correct in understanding that a lot of the nomenclature is that a 45 is basically the new 42 but instead of outboards it's got that extra swimstep area to cover the drives? Or are the hulls different?

The way DCB is dialed in they could probably move that whole company faster than I could move houses.🤣
Now that I am in AZ I wanted to check it out. Maybe they will do a new open house at the new location.
The move wasn't something we were initially excited to do, but all agreed that for the long-term solution it's where we need to be. Having more space, everything in AC, and a better flow path through the shop are all positives that make it worthwhile.

Our fearless leader will be sure to have an open house, we're going to want to show the world what DCB 3.1 looks like :)

Same bottom but I believe they added height to fit inboards? @HydroSkreamin will have your exact answer
The hull mold for the M42R will be utilized, but we've designed multiple inserts to get the hull attributes we need for the sterndrive for both performance and rigging.

The deck is a bespoke mold solely for the M45 Widebody sterndrive.

Makes sense.

Also, and I'm just thinking out loud here, a true tunnel 28 with OBs would be spiffy.
