I think my car car has a big no on the cap for 85. Is there a difference in some states. ???
Even when we do go out of Cali I will always use at least 87.
I'm pretty sure that's what the symbol with the red line through it meant but I never opened the owners manual.

Do not put straight e85 in your car unless it's a flex fuel veh.

I put in the cheapest thing available for the rental.
I rented a Volvo a few weeks ago. When I went to gas it up I wondered if it took 91. Saw it on the door and said, "well, you're getting 86 today". Then I realized, it probably gets 86 every time, LOL.

This is odd. Unleaded is 50¢ cheaper in Farmersville than in McKinney, ten miles away.

That’s some CA shit right there.
Over the years I've noticed some Shell stations around here that were priced 50¢/gallon or more than a station or C store on the other corners, and wondered how they stay in business.

I lived in the SF Bay Area. Martinez CA has a shell refinery. Used to crack me up that a shell gas station a few blocks from the refinery had significantly higher prices than a burb 20 or so minutes away.
