I bought a Igloo BMX 72 to keep in my fire truck...............frigging JUNK. I put Ice in it EVERY DAY!!! Put 10 lbs in it this morning (like every day). This afternoon the ice was water and the bottled water was only sorta cool. Space in the truck is a factor but the three coolers in the title will fit. Anyone bought the new guy on the block "Blue Cooler"?? seems like it might be the best bang for the buck...thoughts???

yeti is overpriced in my opinion. I have a couple yetis and other off brands and can't tell a difference. The key is to chill them a day or so before you need them and they will hold ice longer. Also if you can put drinks in cold it helps.

I bought my last igloo years ago. One trip and the handles broke. Next trip the latches, and soon after the hinges. I haven't tried the heavier duty style yet, but if they hold up I would consider it next time around.

I got an Orca cooler. I think it was a 65 qt, it worked great right up to the point someone stole it out of the back of my truck. I would buy again.
Scratch that, just looked them up and it’s just about doubled from when I bought mine. Also looks like I had the 58 qt one.

Frigid Rigid is worth a look Gramps - they have been around a long time and lot of pro fisherman use them.

I have the large AO hard sided cooler. Works great and kept stuff frozen on our 14day Yellowstone trip.
also have the Orka 45. Kept ice for 12 days.

In both cases I pre-chilled coolers then move to where they would be stored and then packed with fresh ice. Pre-chilling them cost me 60lbs in ice but made a huge difference

Just throw down on they yeti and be done with it. They are built well and don’t have quality issues.

Everyone will tell you how much smarter they are because they bought a knock off.

Take 2 liter soda bottles cut the top off where it narrows down. Fill with water and freeze them. Big chunks of ice stay froze longer.
