I was partners on a Tiara Sports Fisher for 3 years a while back. Found both the boat (1st) and the partner on Craig’s List. Bought it out of HH and had never been there before. I had forgotten about the out riggers as I cruised it out under the bridge. Pretty much destroyed the tips as I went under..

The scrapes on the PCH bridge underside are many. It happens as it part of the Break Out Another Thousand sales contract.

We have our outriggers laid back 35 degrees and I installed them while in a slip a Sunset Aquatic some 15 years ago to deal with that bridge. We get negative comments all the time, especially at the Pedro fuel dock. A couple 200 lb BF's pictures on the helm tell the story.

Some say over 30' some say over 40'. Were 34' and call it a boat. To me it should be based on weight also.

We like "Engine Hatch" better that Lazarett or however the hell rich people spell it.

Underway with fuel were generally at 15 tons which sounds much less than 30,000 lbs.

They are all boats. When the young US Navy guy must return from leave, he refers to returning as going back to “the boat”. And that even includes aircraft carriers. In the civilian world if a crew member and/or owner says they’re going back to “the yacht”, it means 1 of 2 things. Either (1) they are a pretentious jerk, or (2) they are a brand new crew member or owner.

Pretty simple....

If it's a hole in the water that you throw money into it's a boat😉

Lorenzo Fertitta defines his "yacht" a bit differently. Look very close and you will see a boat at the stern lol
