Mines for sale but north of those numbers, willing to come down some but not close to that. Tons of extras though

That is double what he wanted to pay LOL. Nice piece though.

@ the OP - you should be able to find what you are looking for, it will be something stock or close to stock. and you can mod it to your tastes.

I paid $16k for a mildly modded 2016 XP41K a couple months ago. It was pretty clean and needed a few hundred bucks of "unexpected" repair and has been good to go since then.

Thats about what I paid for my new ‘17 from Berts. Almost doesn’t make sense to go used, the resale is still pretty high and the new ones are within a few G of the used ones. Unless you can pick up a mint stock one for 16ish or one with mods you like for a bit more

Almost everything in your price range is going to need all that. You will probably find one with a few of the "RZR aftermarket" things, but i highly doubt one with custom cage, lights, doors.

I’ve found a few in my price range that are loaded with good parts. They just get picked up quick.

You don’t NEED a cage or new full doors. You’d want harnesses a roof and lower half doors before any of that.

You can get lower half doors, harnesses and harness pass throughs for the stock seats for not a ton of money. Beyond that you can go as nuts as you want with lights, wheels, accessories, etc, but if you do some research there are reasonably priced options.

Yup, it’s is not cheap to build it. My paddle setup is over 2k, which funny I’ve gotten two good offers on them, my method rims and tensor tires with spare is over 2k, 20 ply tire for streets. Seats will run you close to 2k, cages, doors, seatbelts, lights, and misc stuff eats a hole in the wallet. I will say the can am comes with a much better stock packages. Seats are way more comfortable and cage looks better

I just didn’t like how upright they were. Aftermarket seats are different angle, seated deeper in and don’t slide, and way more padding for the tush and back, just not cheap. Can am’s I felt deeper in, better angle, and a tad more padding than stock razors

Ya...my dad lives in Parker so I would just put it in his name. So something in AZ would be more desirable for sure.

Our 2017 xp4 1k will probably hit the classifieds at 22k. A little north of your 18k but not by much.

After seeing some of the stock cages after a rollover I think a aftermarket cage should be at the top of the list.

Keep in mind the factory cage is designed to do that. It is designed to withstand a rollover and be discarded and replaced. I'm not saying it is better than an aftermarket cage, but if you are primarily using it to cart around some kids at low to medium speeds, you are likely OK with the stock setup. I'd be way more concerned with improper 4 and 5 point harness setup than I would be with any cage.

If you drive around in AZ helmetless anyway, the cage is a vanity item. You are gonna be seriously injured with or without an aftermarket cage. Probably more with an aftermarket cage, as the bars are closer to your head.

Also if you use it without a helmet, I'd consider proper harnesses imperative, so you don't (or are less likely to) crack your head into a metal bar in a minor crash or larger bump.

I'd love for somebody to give the stock cage vs brand X aftermarket cage a crash test. No doubt some of the aftermarket cages are 1000% stronger than the stock unit...but there seems to be alot of them that have zero engineering or consideration for triangulation or good design. Then you factor in that the stock rzr frame is 2 pieces and comparable to a golf cart.....
A 'back to back" what happens test would be interesting

Yep. There are certainly some aftermarket cage builders that leave you wondering what they were thinking, and just have a vanity product designed to look better.. which satisfies 90% of the SXS pocketbook Ivan Stewarts.

Polaris has 100X the R&D money in that bolt together cage than any aftermarket deal. Just because the aftermarket cage is stronger (debatable) does not mean it is necessarily safer.

I saw an aftermarket cage that had intrusion bars that stopped half way down the "windshield" (didn't connect with the brace on the bottom of the windshield) and I asked the owner why its like that and he said "it looks cool so thats how I had them build it"

The damn intrusion bars were even mitered and sharpened to a point, that's safe. Wish I had a picture.

Seems like mileage VS wear is very dependant on how you use them. We run Cal City alot, lots of 150+ mile days but much of it is fire road cruising at 50. How miles is considered "high miles" for a rzr?

I was just saying the one rzr had a lot of miles compared to the others.
For $1500 more I would buy the one with 294 miles especially since it has new tires.
The other one with 3400 miles looks like it's needs new tires
It doesn't say the hours either.
The first one with 294 miles and 24 hours means he drove it about 12 mph average lol
3400 miles might not be A LOT or HIGH but things might need to be replaced and maybe more depending on where it was ridden
I know, was just curious what people consider to be high miles. I feel like im racking mine up pretty quick and i'll want to sell it eventually to get a turbo. I feel like the guy who leased a car for 10k miles a year and drives to the river every weekend

Run it, maintain it.

You'll get another $500-$750 in the end "keeping the miles off" vs running it as much as you want.

Those 3 year old tires that have been sitting in a garage in the desert aren't really new anymore either :)

I have something like 3600 on my Ranger.. and I'm low compared to a lot of the guys that live out here. Last trip out to the Cabin I met a guy that had just bought a Can Am and he had like 1500 actual Desert Miles on the thing and he only had it for like 3 months?

I always kind of wondered, what is considered a lot of miles on a SXS.. Mine runs perfect and has always been serviced?

Ask one of the retirees with the 10 year old RZRs that drive them everywhere in Havasu. If driven gently on the street and maintained you could probably get 20,000 miles out of them easily.
