Well, wife is ready to buy a used 4 seater but we both don’t know much about them. She is thinking of looking in Havasu when we are there for 10 days starting a week from today. Time to get educated on them. I imagine there are some great deals out there but where to look besides FB Market Place? Wife has all the social media sites. I do not

Great time to buy. There are some great deals out there. I’d drive a Polaris and a Can Am. See which one suits you better. Look for something that someone has well optioned. Radio, belts, seats, lights, etc.

That’s what I told the wife. Well optioned for sure. Only drove a Razor Turbo 1000 a few years ago. Heard the Can Ams you sit lower in.

Definitely get one with a turbo. If you don’t, you’ll want one with a turbo within a month. In my mind, the CanAm X3 and Polaris RZR are the only two choices.

We have a 2019 X3 and love it. The 4 seater lets us take friends along.

Oh and definately get one with a windshield if you want to keep your wife happy. Most women don’t want to wear a full face helmet, and without it, your faces will be peppered with dirt, rocks and hot/cold wind.

Marketplace seems to have the most for sale you can also try OfferUp. To me it’s gonna depend on what type of riding you plan to do. Also, what would be your budget and that’ll determine the price range the type of vehicle and many other factors. But like said above, I would get something that’s already well option I’m gonna be selling mine but mine is a 2015 four seater.

We’ll be in Havasu with our X3 for Desert Storm. You are welcome to come for a ride with us if you are going to be there then.

Maybe we should do a ride that week/weekend. Might be a good way for Java to test ride a few at one time.

Yes we can do that. Let’s stay in touch as it gets closer, PM me.

$25K and under will get you a nice car. Like others have said, get one that has already been pimped out with a radio, intercom, spare tire and mount, windshield, etc.

I would like to add my .02.
Hopefully it helps or gives u heads up..
Get the lowest miles one you can find.. usally better condition..
Look under it and check suspension. Skid plate. All Around motor . Cage for touch-up marks or damage, look under dash..
be aware even though it's clean and nice it's used and stuff can break right after you buy it and will have to fork more money..
.
Working in motorsports industry for 20 plus years(not anymore).
I personally dont buy used dirt toys that are for me.. call me crazy or weird but that's me..

Plus how would your wife feel about it.
It breaks and you have to fix it..

I'm saying this cause that's why I have had 2 new boats with warranty... lmfao

I like buying used but Im also the guy that most complain about lowballing. I make sure that the used price reflects the fact the motor is shot the transmission is going to fail and the service has been neglected.

All that may not be the case but that’s how I feel about buying used. Only new toy we bought was a SXS everything else we own was purchased used, quads,Dirt bikes, cars, trucks and motorhome all purchased used.

Another vote for a low mileage car.

I have 5500 miles on my X3 which includes a 1700 mile trip down the Baja Peninsula with Off The Grid Expeditions. I haven't spent a penny on my car except for maintenance and upgrades. I really like the CanAm’s reliability.

This is spot on for when we bought our car. Ended up buying. A car from a guy whose family ended up not enjoying the experience.

Which being me to another friend who bought the trailer and other things preparing to buy a car and the wife totally pulled the plug after one ride in a friend car.

Then you have my mother that went out once for a cruise. Then a longer ride last month and didn’t not enjoy it. She said that my wife and I do too many scary hobbies. LOL. Imagine if she rode with Ian.

That is why it would be a good If you rented a car out we create a ride for you to join. We have a four seater and have 2-3 seats available most of the time. Best of luck to the OP

I always do my due diligence. It takes me a while to buy anything because I do a lot of research. Good advice.

Wife would love that. She always wanted a SXS. Now that we bought a Havasu house she is ready. She used to race motocross is HS. She loves dirt bikes. She loves 110 degree heat, Havasu, boats and desert so she is all in.

Ian’s RZR has been solid and he drives the hell out of it.

Your wife sounds like a keeper. 👍 My wife was the same growing up riding dirt bikes in the orange groves of the IE, desert and Mexico with her family and friends In the late 70s & 80s.
