Looking for an Eliminator Speedster preferably without motor. I have seen the three used 27' Speedsters for sale at Eliminator. I don't want to pay 160K or 149K for those boats, however they are really nice. Anyone know what happened to the orange one that was for sale in 2011 for 80K or so by user name, "stblaze08," and yes I have tried to contact him about the boat. Thanks for any info on Eliminator Speedsters RDP members have in advance.

I seem to recall that "stblaze08" was called out and disappeared. Not sure of why I think that as I'm an old guy and may not recall what I think that I recall...

Get a 28 Speedster, then you'll have a boat. I'm looking also. :)

Hi 707dog, I heard the owner of the orange speedster might have ran into some trouble. I heard the Feds had the boat, but then I heard it sold before said "trouble" happened to the owner, "stblaz08." I missed the chance to grab it when it was on the boards for sale. By the time I found the orange speedster listed on RDP and a few other sites, the contact numbers were no good. I have never forgot about what an amazing deal he was offering and I really love the look of that boat. I am interested to see if there are any other 27" speedsters for sale, other than those listed at eliminator boats. Thanks for your reply

28' Speedters are bad to the bone, i agree... lots of $$$$$$$$$. Good luck with your search. I take it you have seen the 09 28' Speedster with the 700 SCI's and NXT drives for sale on Eliminators site? If you come across any 27' speedsters in your search to purchase please hit me up on the boards.

I know he spun that thing out at least once, broke a seat and needed some gel repair if I recall.
I'm not sure if he or who ever got it after him got the handling issues worked out or not.

Wow, spun it out hard enough to do some damage, scary! I heard they pulled the Arneson off and put an IMCO on it. Never heard who did the work or where the boat ended up.

Good luck with your search guys, there were not many 27's made. As also stated, the 28 really is the ticket, one of my favorites in that size.

And it went 18 mph slower with the IMCO on it then the engine BLEW... Go figure hugh. The boat was not damaged and it ran worst with the IMCO on it.

I think the arenosn drive looks killer. I saw a photo of the speedser with the arenson drive on it, it looked really nice and i heard it worked fine. I found a speedser, I put a down payment on the boat and I am going to pick it up next week. With that said, the purpose of this thread is complete. thanks to all that responded and offered advice/help.

I have seen the 27' speedster for sale in Phoenix. Good Price? I looked at this boat at Octane Marine and saw it again while visiting Bob at Eliminator. Nice boat, my wife liked the paint job. We are buying one that is newer and we do not want an open bow. Thanks for posting, I appreciate the tip. Not to many used speedsters for sale. I think Bob has only made 8 to 10? in the 27' single engine set up. I'm sure somebody on here knows the exact #.

Thank you. We are putting A 985EFI in it that Octane Marine built for us. Should be pretty fast.

What about drive, what setup did you decide?

I am using my IMCO Stand off box with XR upper and IMCO 2" shorty off my old daytona. I really wanted to put an IMCO SXC upper on it, but $$$$$$$ all used up in purchasing the speedster. Next year I'll put the SXC upper on. Always somthing!

Ran great with the 985 ProCharger motor, then we put a TCM 1100 in it and it went real fast. Sold the boat a couple years ago with the TCM 1100/Scx upper/SC lower. I heard the new owner put a scx lower on it, good choice. I was told the boat is currently for sale through Rick at Maxed Out Marine.

We have it. It’s almost ready to be listed.

Thanks Bo! She should be listed later this week.

Hey guys,
I am just wondering, what is the big difference between the Eliminator 27' Speedster and the 28' Speedster?
Because i see a huge price difference.
Thanks

28’ is a twin engine and a much bigger boat. If you look at each in person you will see the difference.

Cheers
