Saw this yesterday. Not really interested in how tech wants to lead me as I try to enjoy life as ”I” see fit. Then there is the…..I can only imagine what would happen to some of the RDP members who post up those wild internet searches they claim have gone wrong. I thought that I‘d add a pole for the possibility that they may choose the feature for me and at least I’d have a pole in the hotel room and could enjoy a show.

I watch one video or type in one question about something random and next thing I know I get non stop advertisements, articles, information etc etc for months on that one thing. Drives me fuckin' CRAZY! Youtube is the same fuckin way. I watch one video posted here about some rando shit and now my whole "feed" is shit related to it. The whole algorithm tracking shit is straight up annoying.

I have no traditional social media, never have. Ever. but if you google search “slammed ferreri from japan” to get an article on kazuki Ohashi next thing I know, I get inundated with Ferrari articles. Fine. But it works that way if you google search ANYTHING. same with YouTube. Look for a movie trailer of an upcoming flick, now I get 8,000 movie trailers. It’s annoying. Sometimes, I just want to find something out and never look at the topic again. “Why are there double rainbows” doesn’t mean I want to be inundated with rainbow articles and photos and gay pride advertisements for the next few months!

The absolute worst is if you click on a random cnn or MSNBC news article. Stand by. It’s about to rain propaganda.

I wonder why I don't get targeted ads. I use brave, duckduckgo, no instagram, no twitter/x. I sync brave on all my devices. We also do not have amazon alexa/echo or anything like that. I do watch youtube stuff.

I don’t always use duck duck. I like it but I gotta be honest, the search isn’t as deep as Google. I’ve not been able to find info on duck duck that I was able to find on google. Not for nothing, that’s just been my experience. So, I just use whatever is on the iPhone or on the desk top or lap top I’m using. And we do have a few Alexa’s.

So, no normal social media...but multiple Alexa's? You don't care for them reading what you type, but have them listening in your home?
