If you google "Starr Bumble Bee" there's a couple of videos of it flying on youtube. Seems on it's 3rd flight Bumble Bee II crashed and was totaled.Wow, that can really fly? Kind of like one of @Mini Kat fleet of boats.![]()
Are you telling us you don’t” drag tail” home once in while ???Only one problem there. I'm not tail dragger certified yet hahaha
Then what's the middle track you leave walking through the sand?Only one problem there. I'm not tail dragger certified yet hahaha

That museum looks to be getting a new massive float plane. I think I’m going to take the family down there soon.
They have an SR-71...with the "Mini-Me" drone as well. The B-36 was impressive to me, even moreso than the B-52. Maybe because both are relics, but the 36 is like the last giant dinosaur of a different era.You should go now and then go back when the Philippine Mars is on display. The PA&S museum was on the regular when we lived in Tucson. One of the few places to see a B-36 and they have one of the B-52s that was used at Edwards to drop the X planes. Great place to spend the day.
When we lived in CA I took the kiddos to the March Field air museum, I wanted to see the SR71, cool to know there is another one in Tucson. They have an SR-71...with the "Mini-Me" drone as well. This one kind of set me back...JFK's last flight. Air Force One, from a dark time.
Sorry buddy, I spent 20+ years n the USAF, Last 7 years at Andrew’s AFB, DC. I spent years working around presidential aircraft . JFK’ last flight not on that aircraft. The one he was on was 62-6000 a Boeing 707. That aircraft was my responsibility for years until retirement. It now sits the AF museum. The sister of that aircraft was 72-7000, which now sits in the Regan library. There was 5 other 707 that were used for other ranking dignitaries. The guide was so inaccurate, THere s another 707 there 6971 he told everyone that it transported the president, no way we called it a cattle hauler ie press. This accurate information. They have an SR-71...with the "Mini-Me" drone as well. The B-36 was impressive to me, even moreso than the B-52. I was at March with my boys shortly after it got there...no barriers, just ropes. I asked the docent if I could touch the landing gear...grandpa worked on them as a machinist. He said I could...it was pretty epic to me, never met my grandpa, only have pics of him by a Cadillac lathe in the 50's and buy his old Galaxie about 69.When we lived in CA I took the kiddos to the March Field air museum, I wanted to see the SR71, cool to know there is another one in Tucson.

My Grandpa retired from an acrylic company that made f16 canopies. He died when I was young, I wish I had the chance to hear some of his war and work stories.Damn docents!
At least there was no BS, the 36 and the 52 are what they are...big and badass![]()

When I read the title I was preparing to go find a photo of one of these. It was the first thing I thought of. Fast little jet.I remember seeing the coors light silver bullet jet years ago thought that was small. This looks a lil smaller for sure.
