I know a lot of you are drag race fans and can probably answer this for me. Its been a few years since I went to the Winternationals and I'm wondering if the access has changed. I used to be able to buy a general admission ticket and if you wanted to go down by the starting line and stand by the fence for a run or two it was okay. I'm talking about on the side and the first 50 - 100 feet. Is that still okay? Or is it blocked off now? Also all the tickets including general admission still get you a full pit pass correct? Thanks in advance.

On the main grandstand side you will not be able to access the first 150' from the starting line with general admission. Maybe even further down the track depending on what day, Thursday and Friday they seem to be a little more laid back than on Sat. and Sun. Basically from where the return road goes under the stands to the start line is Top Eliminator Club?? and off limits to G.A. We have snuck in there when the guard wasn't looking.

I'm not sure about the other side of the track (family side?) whether or not you can stand at the fence at the starting line or not.

You are free to roam the pits with any ticket.

That trick no longer works but you can sit on the family side which is pretty close and actually better then standing along fence becuase you can see the cars and the bleacher rumble big time unlike the pit side. Down side no beer sales...
