I couldn't add a poll to DB's existing thread so let's try this.
And how do we know they won't need the weekend to deliberate seeing as how they haven't reached a verdict?Dinner plans made, probably there until 10 pm eastern this evening.
No deliberation over the weekend.
They will reconvene Monday, no deliberating over the weekend. Rumor is the judge is a basketball fan and goes to the games in person. And how do we know they won't need the weekend to deliberate seeing as how they haven't reached a verdict?
He's a lawyer and I don't trust ANY Lawyer, Banker or Politician.I think that all of his lies made him untrustworthy to the jury. How can they trust him when he betrayed even those who were closest to him? Then, the lie about being at the kennels that night and the video proving he was there is just too much. I really don't know how you could possibly think that he is honest about anything, including being a murderer.
I respect your opinion, however a shotgun can still be lethal at 300 yards. That's almost a quarter mile. I think it was what was convenient either left in the feed room or on the golf cart. I don't know if it was "planned" as in I am going down to the kennels to shoot them or if it was "when the opportunity arises I am going to take it." He told Maggie's sister that whoever did this has been thinking about it for a long time.I agree with the guilty verdict. I continue to believe he used 2 different weapons because he had hunting experience. He knew a 12 ga shotgun, with buckshot, would take out his first victim at short range. He expected the other person (son or wife) to run upon seeing the first victim killed. He knew he was in bad physical condition, over weight + drug abuse, and would not be able to run down the escaping victim, potential witness. But, with the .300 rifle he could take them down easily while standing and shooting from near his first victim. IMO, it was a cold, calculated double murder. Wonder if the defense had attempted to get the site of the trial moved? It’s possible the Murdaugh family was not well thought of by many locals. Particularly after the boating death and also Alex Murdaugh stealing many thousands of dollars from various local people. Apparently the prosecution lawyers were not hunters, or they would have realized the probable reason for the 2 weapons,
They have been screwing around for over 100 years that is why this case is so big. The family dynasty is falling... The great grand father Maurdaugh started the law firm in 1910 (I think, is what I remember)South Carolina doesn't screw around.

This test shows 9" penetration at 100 yds. Can we meet in the middle? lol 00 buckI respectfully do not believe shotguns are lethal at 300 yards. Perhaps 30, but not 300 yards.
This is all I can find.I’ve only one question - the defense stated in closing, ‘hair in the hand of Margaret Murdaugh.” What was up with that?
There is a Reddit thread I found. Asking about the hair and no one knew what had happen with it either.Griffin also revisited testimony from early on in the trial which revealed that Maggie was found dead with hair in her hand. He said that hair remains untested, in addition to the fact that DNA was only taken from Alex.
It doesn't matter. The hair was evidence in the grand jury hearing, not the trial. It was not introduced into evidence by the prosecution or defense, so it legally could have no weight in the jury's deliberations. They couldn't consider it.I’ve only one question - the defense stated in closing, ‘hair in the hand of Margaret Murdaugh.” What was up with that?
Damn, the power of RD is astounding. It appears some of the jury does in fact peruse this site!I voted guilty hoping that at least one of the jury members are viewing this forum. I mean, doesn't everyone?
