Wildflowers

Wildflowers are doing their thing. This was today approaching Oatman from the Ft Mohave side. We off roaded from Spirit Mtn Casino up to the paved road to Oatman. Trail was a little beaten up, the desert was green, lots of wildflowers. But more adjacent to the paved road as you neared Oatman.

In the Borrego area you see huge fields of lavender ….

Saw a bunch on the way to lunch at the Springs For lunch. Good sight for sure.

Saw this in Glamis a few weeks ago…..

Those purple flowers were abundant while we were off roading at lower elevations. The overall desert floor was covered with green grass. Good stuff. Mother Nature at work.

With all this rain the desert is really going to bloom this spring. They already blocked off the exits/roads on the 15 just before Lake Elsinore as it was a shit show the last time it bloomed.

The hills west of the 215 in the Menifee/Perris area are pretty rad. Never seen it lit up like that.

There are random other spots in town that have them. Just need to look up at the hills.

by the way, please be careful out there. The wife lost a good friend to people out stopping on the freeway to view the flowers. Also have fire friends on the roads and almost hit by windowlickers.

Drove through Borrego Springs and Salton Sea areas Monday & Wednesday.......those flowers are starting to bloom like crazy throughout the deserts......and the kooky flower children people are stopping on roadsides randomly.
Looks beautiful though

Yesterday coming back from Phoenix the flowers were awesome. Sorry no pics as I was driving and the wife did not want me pulling off to the side of the road. But coming into Parker there was orange, purple, yellow and white. Hoping that maybe someone would be able to grab photos on their ride into town. This is all that the wife could take…..
