Valencia, right now its a 75 gallon that is leaking at the top. just went out of warranty of course, and does it make sense to go to tankless?

Going tankless will be 5x the cost. Stick with tank.

I paid 10k to replace a tankless a few years ago (granted a higher end unit) and that’s with the resident AC/heating and plumbing company.

You can purchase the water heater here, you’re gonna need some other stuff also, I’d say you will be into this $3K if you have it done by legit plumber and don’t get fucked. 😂

Your water quality has a lot to do with it. Put an Anode Rod in & check it after 3 years. The corrosion basically gravitates to the rod versus the tank, thus saving the tank.

I agree on staying with a tank, tankless are ridiculously overrated as the savior. Tanks are simple & work.
