Who are you using for weed control in Havi?

So, I got a notice from Havasu Pest Control that they’re raising their weed spraying fee by 40%! We have used them for 19 years for bi-annual weed control. Always happy, no problems! But, with such a large rate hike, I thought I’d do some checking around on other companies and compare rates. Who are you using and are you happy?? TIA

I got the same letter yesterday, not surprised I haven’t had an increase in 20 years. From what some of my neighbors are paying it’s in line with what they’re currently paying and newer customers are paying. If it makes you feel better mine went up 50%.

I paid $20
Went to Lowe bought a gal of weed kill .
I’ll see how well this works out on the next trip back .
Took an hour it seem like .

Hope it is a better time than a month ago. Had a company come out and claim that they did the deed. Friend sent me pictures 2 weeks later and the weeds look just the sAmer as I saw them in January. Gotta give the company credit they are coming back at no charge. They should do it no charge if they could‘t do it right the first time. I wish that I was in town and could burn them to the ground. The weeds not company that sprayed them. :aniteef:

Yeah, the amount was a bit steep but not unexpected my neighbors with similar size yards have been paying more for quite some time. There may be other companies out there but I’ve been happy with HPC‘s service over the years.

Weed killer Tim....$350 for 1.2 acres, he came out gave me an estimate and did the job all within 4 days, havasu pest who I use for bugs returned my call two weeks later.

I went this route.
Pros: No constant pumping, Concentrate makes 10gals
Cons: Isn’t a quick kill product but seems to be stopping anything from growing after.
I’d just nuke the yard but i have other plants that I’m trying not to kill. We’ll see how it goes.

i did mine thurs, I normally get the purple roundup gallon, but $100, tried the $50 gallon of knock out, I’ll see what it looks like on next trip. I use the dial sprayer, takes me less than an hour and I have a pretty big back and side yard. i normally don’t have to spray again if I do mid march early April

Thanks for the DIY suggestions! Plan B already has 3 acres in SD to weed. Nasty nettle everywhere!! So, we take the easy route in Havasu ... leaving those weeds to the professionals so we can enjoy our vacay time

man that sprayer for $50 bucks looks like it’s Da Bomb! Great find! I’m going to pick one up, I only have like 4 of the pump style. When ever I have to scrape popcorn off the ceiling I get a brand new pump.

All the old folks around me use one of these weed torches with a propane tank, looks like it works really good.
