Built their own launch ramp at Lake Mead?

Lake Mead officials discovered an unapproved boat ramp and parking area at Echo Bay. On Aug. 16, it was discovered that heavy equipment was brought to the area and used to grade an undisturbed desert area in order to create the ramp, according to Lake Mead officials.

Almost had a friend of mine talked into making my backyard deeper so we didn't have to go the middle of the lake, has a nice sized Kubota. In my town it would probably be a felony, neighbors snitch on neighbors for digging by hand.

the more i think about this the more pissed off I get.

NPS article claimed they were worried about environmental damage to the desert with the road/ramp.

ummm.......that area was under fucking water.......what damage can be done? and if the lake ever comes back up will be underwater again.

this is PROOF the NPS wants to limit access to the lake.
