I know exactly how you feel. Dad passed 3 years ago last July.
I will never forget when I had to say goodbye, easily the most profoundly sad day of my life, and yet at the same time I am so thankful to have been able to share those last days with him.
Perhaps that is a coping mechanism, but it can help.

I hate cancer. I hate that money goes into archaic, symptomatic treatment instead of a real cure.
I hate that it cheats us out of years on earth and cheats us out of years with loved ones.
I hate that it killed my Dad, I hate that is taking your dad, I hate that my wife is being cut on, injected with poison, and I can do nothing.

Hang tough Jeff, you are not alone.
