I was really looking at AZ as a state we would seriously consider moving to once my two high schoolers were done in a couple of years but after last night, I don't think so. Now that AZ is a blue state, TX not far behind, and NV blue as well, what state is left that has a good economy, schools, somewhat fair weather, and will stay RED for the unforeseen future?

I will be on the road.....lol

ID and WYO seem decent bets. Maybe Montana or TN but.......

The locust migration is happening fast. Only way to stay in front of the BS is to stay on the road :)

Utah if you want to stay close, Tennessee if you want to really be sure.

Funny this is all happening I was telling people 3 weeks ago that I didn't think AZ was far enough from CA as ideology spread. Granted I thought I was talking in the next 8+ years not this year...lol

I have been to St George/Hurrican area a few times the past 2 months. I really like it there. Seems conservative with good values.

Beautiful place. The Mormons will keep utah conservative and you will never meet a nicer group of people. My wifes family lives in St. George/Washington and it has become alot better for food ,entertainment and booze in the past 20 years...lol

I think there is money to be made here for quite a while. It will be a decade or more before it gets completely Cali fucked. But rest assured the whole country is slipping this direction. The free shit brigade has won and it's going to be a lockout from here forward due to demographics. The numbers dont lie...

Even though Nevada is blue I still like the no state income tax. I have a place in Parker and plan to keep the place in Cali at the beach.....East Nevada near Utah is sounding better....close to powder, close to river, 5-6hrs to Cali...

True but there;s a lot of Californians moving there. And not just the Conservative ones.

I'd say Utah, simply for the Mormons, stays Red longer than most other western states.

I was thinking of retiring in the USA. But now I'm not so sure. Canada doesn't tax global income until you bring it into Canada. Thinking Grand Cayman now.

when you figure this out let me know,
FL has its +, but the humidity kills it. Wife has lung issues and high humidity causes her issues.

Rural NV (which is most of the state) has a lot to offer. Unfortunately Clark and Washoe counties have fucked up the state and with Sissolini as governor now don't be surprised if a state income tax is instated. You know, because of COVID. He will say that it is needed and will be temporary but in reality it will never expire.

No offense to any of you (disclaimer: I left Kalifornia because I had to get out of that shithole) but where are you running to?

We can't run or hide from Covid and we can't run or hide from Marxism.

What you're talking about running from is everywhere. Today's red state is almost half blue and can flip in the next election.

My advice (unless you're in Kalifornia), you can't run from Marxism. We have to fight it. We have to get involved and stand up for our values and freedoms.

If you're running you're likely not going to be helping this country and the place you run to could be next to flip

Myself I was thinking Idaho. But of course by the time I go to pull the trigger it will already be "converted" like all the other places.

Idaho will be conservative for quite a while. Trump got nearly 65% of the vote

With that said its beautiful there for about 5 months of the year. I don't like the cold or more than a dusting of snow so it's not for alot of peeps.

Utah is a great state, but their state income tax sucks, 5% from the first dollar earned, flat. That being said, they actually use their tax money for genuine purpose there, for the most part. So it's not like throwing into the bottomless pit.

I dont know. You pick up all your shit and relocate, then the same stuff is on the ballot where you just moved to.

Pretty soon you've move 3 times and are in some tiny frozen corner of the world because its still conservative.

True statement, and who can afford Idaho at the rate things are going? Home prices in Idaho have doubled in the last 3-4 years.

Today is November 4th and you're still a douche bag. And Kalifornia is unfixable. And no, no tune changed here.

I give you credit for living in that shithole. You deserve each other

We have been looking hard at PHX area. Lots of Mormons, Christians and conservatives in that area. It’s a complete breathe of fresh air from LA/OC/IE.

From what I see, the libs are up in Northern Az where the universities are. Flagstaff Sedona and alike are where the hippies from CA seem to be going. Anywhere that has special crystals rocks is where they like to go LOL.

I talk to 40-50 people 5 days a week in So Cal that are moving so I get a pretty good idea of where people are going and why.

I think a lot of you are over reacting. AZ has had several democrat governors and still is a far better place and managed better than CA in many ways.

My belief is that our entire county will end up subject to the socialist United Nations someday, but until then, AZ is a much better place than CA. If you don’t like hippes and liberals, stay away from North AZ.

Here is what people want the most in Northern Idaho. Acreage and the more the better. Its going up in price fast and very fast.
Here are a few listings I found on the MLS today all at least 5 acres. Compared to California prices they are still somewhat reasonable.
I have a feeling our market just became more in demand.
Let me know if anybody wants me to send them listings.

I've always wanted to go to St George. I've been to Brigham City many times over the years when my ex-wife and daughter lived there and I went to visit my daughter.

St George is great. My MIL lives near there and I've been all over the place in Southern Utah. Personally I'd go just a little further up towards Cedar City because I like four seasons, but St George is growing like crazy. Everything is getting better, but I'm sure the established locals aren't enthusiastic with the massive influx.

ETA: Plus its close to Powell, and Vegas isn't that far away either, though you could go to Mesquite to scratch a gambling itch. Though Mesquite's not what it used to be.

Tell all your friends that. I would move to Texas, preferably in Pronstar's neighborhood.
