Freshman in High School, every male was looking to dominate. Guy was being a dick. I tried to ignore him, but he wouldn’t go away. So, I decked him. End of story, never bothered me again.
No cameras, no hurt feelings, no guns, no TV coverage, no counseling, no lawsuit, probably happened 10 times a day until the first week was over.

What was the name of the prison where you went to High School? 🤣

Basic Training 1969, got into a back and forth about whose turn it was to seep the barracks floors.

Finally came to fisticuffs. Couple at the bike rack in elementary school......😇

To clarify, I don’t mean slapping, pushing, wrestling, spitting and yelling, I mean close fists and throwin hands. Lots of UFC fans on here so wondering if you have any personal experience having your bell rung or cleaning clocks.

Not my most shining moment,

20 years ago or so was in Dallas driving the freeway at night and some dude cut me off hard, I got in front of him and stopped and hopped out so did he. We went back and forth, I got a few in and so did he. We realized we were standing in the middle of the freeway and ended it. I used to have a little road rage lol

Yes, and yes...I have rung some bells, and had mine rung a fair share too. As said, it's been awhile.

Come close in recent times, with a drunk that made a comment about one of my kids at a restaurant. He looked the fool in front of his construction worked buddies. Was surprised as hell that I knew what he said, even more surprised when I walked back in after my family exited. Say something about a man's kids or wife, better damn well be ready for what comes next. I'm more peaceable than I used to be, but that won't change who I am.

I don't like to fight I don't believe in it. But a few years back on a Cinco de Mayo weekend. They were two Marines that were on leave out of 29 palms. Gotten my face out in front of BJ's cabana bar. I told them that they should walk away from me that it would not end well for them. When he grabbed my arm that's when I opened him up! The last thing I told him that he was too slow and he was too late! Looking at the body cam from PD the one guy told the cops I don't know what he did but he did some weird ninja s***! Next thing he said all he remembered was him and his buddy were down on their back and his buddy was bleeding all over the place! Don't get me wrong I don't fight I don't like to fight. But I have no problems ending a conflict with me.

I broke my brother's nose three different times when we were teenagers. He's two years older than me, but a slow learner.

I have had a few as an adult but its been a long time. I won't bore you with details but they were square up and ended quickly. I did have one guy sucker punch me one time with all his might from my blind side but I didn't go down....then everybody jumped in between. Fucking bitch throwing sucker punches are pussies. I have never looked for trouble. If you do you will find it and sooner or later and you will take an ass whipping or worse. Not worth it peeps but of course always defend yourself when you need to.

They were nothing like the battles with 5 brothers growing up daily though....lol We used to have tag team wrestling matches and they got wild as shit....someone was going to be bleeding before a winner was declared for sure. One of my brothers cut some wood I was holding for him. He almost cut my finger off and as the blood was streaming out I started yelling so he punched me in the forehead and knocked me out. Later I asked....WTF did you do that for? He said he didn't want Mom to get mad at him so he shut me up....haha

Another time a brother got married so the boys along with a BIL went into Monterey the night before to celebrate. What a wild night.....bar fight with a knife being pulled out after someone got offended on Cannery Row...lol After that we hit JNB and we started arguing over who ordered what. We piled out of the van and for some reason my oldest brother started trying to boss me around....F That....he threw a punch, I ducked and came up and threw a beautiful punch to the mouth that dropped him. As I jumped on him I remember his eyes....he was shocked and a pissed. Cops started to come up, he told me to go, I jumped in the van drunk as shit, skidded away and got home. When I got to the house my Mom and sister were like "Where is everybody?" Trying to explain that one was kind of difficult....lol The wedding pictures weren't the best as I had exploded my brothers' mouth with that punch and of course we were all major league hung over.

I do miss my brother Bud. He was the oldest boy in the family and passed away many years ago. He was a good guy but learned that night that he couldn't push me around anymore.

RIP Bud

Talk about a walk down memory lane...wow Thing is it seemed proper at that time in our family as we were pretty dysfunctional. We had no choice as we were tested internally daily and Pops when around could be brutal at times. Anybody outside of the family was a piece of cake compared to physical confrontations at home daily. As a family of 6 boys all within a short timeframe the family never really had to worry about any silly shit :) It probably didn't hurt to have 5 cute sisters as well.

Sorry to expand the reply a bit but it was fun to think about the times growing up in a full house....I mean 100% full....lol

I got Shanghai'd in Shanghai with a friend of mine the night we finished our MBA. I think they wanted like 5 grand from us and we had other ideas.

Both. But not since HS.

I've done martial arts since then, but I don't think that counts.

Was in the grocery store the other day waiting my turn at the meat counter. I was reminded of this thread. Not because I was ready to throw blows with the fuckhead that cut in line, just thinking how it could have ended up getting physical over something so dumb.

But how many of you will admit to getting your ass kicked. 🤣

I’ve been on both sides. One of them is much different than the other.
It builds character for sure if you are capable of self-reflection. I had enough ass kickings at home so I never had the desire to go out trying to find trouble...lol

The last good fight I was in was leaving a concert about 10 years ago. My wife was walking with a friend behind myself and a buddy. I heard her screaming and when I turned around she said the guy next to her and grabbed her backpack style purse she was wearing and was pulling on it. I looked at the guy and he took off running across the parking lot and I chased him down. I tackled the guy and ended up on top of him and I beat him until his face was a bloody mess. One of his friends tackled me and slammed my head into a boulder that was in the lot. I ended up getting him into guillotine choke and he went to sleep.

Anyone fought in competition? Or something like a smoker?

That counts double because it's voluntary and there's an audience.

Do not ever hit a woman in front of me...a white trash fuck learned that lesson at Windsor around 2015 when he slapped his wife after cussing her to holy hell while she tried to trailer the boat with his hammered drunk ass barking orders. His friends dealt with him after... They all could have whipped my ass but they knew he deserved that punch.

Some skirmishes and stupidly in my college years mainly..nothing to make serous note of... Modern times..I'm an asshole...I'd rather find a petty way to fuck your day up than hit you, and I'm not a fan of being hit lol.

Got a 4 inch scar right above my hip/groin from being stabbed by a Micronesian fucker whose group targeted me leaving a bar in chinatown Honolulu back 15+ years ago...they got $40...I got the ever living shit kicked/beat out of me..fought as hard as I could. it was at least 5 of them. No one was ever caught... Back then I was a 145-155lb skinny haole 21 year old...easy target alone at night..I only had a two block walk.

Not right away...
Depends on the level of sobriety and injuries received. The happy medium used to be about half a bottle of Jack and a broken nose...no problem. Stone sober, and two cracked ribs...that shit hurt before getting back in the truck

The timing of this poll is ironic. I haven't been in a fist fight in along time, last time was more than 30 years ago but I broke my right hand punching a dipshit.

Wednesday night I stopped to pick up a can of chew at a hole in the wall convenience store in Clearview WA. A 20 -30 YO black guy was dressed to the 9's in the store, he stood out like a sore thumb in the rural store. He went out of his way to introduce himself to me the said loudly " you all have some big farm boys and loggers here". I was wearing a plaid shirt and my work boots and the logger comment was totally directed at me as well as being a larger than normal person.

Anyhow, things digressed and the brother who seemed so friendly and out going got upset when his cards were declined. He immediately started saying this is racist BS to the tiny gals behind the counter. In my experience in working in Stockton CA for a couple of years I knew what he was doing and happened to be behind him in line. It pissed me off, so I confronted his dumb ass. It got really weird, their were several people behind me in line, all white but none were 6'3" tall 300 pounds. Brother with the attitude problem had to do some self control after sizing me up which I could tell was not normal for this dipdhit. I made him him apologize to me and told him the cashiers are just doing their job and his shit was fubar and it's on him, not racism.

If I was 34 instead of 54 I would have drug this MF'er out of the store and either broke his spirit verbally or beat the shit out of him. When I went off on him I had my left hand on a metal gum display, if he lipped off I was going to home run swing that thing on his cranium. Broken hands hurt like a mofo.
