Long time big block and jet guy. Just picked up a 23ft eliminator eagle this weekend. Has a small block and a alpha 1. Water tested Sunday and all systems work but it needs some love. Is there a good Mercruiser parts source in havasu as well as someone’s brain I can pick? I’m very mechanically inclined so I’ll do all the work myself. The big thing that needs to happen ASAP is replace the forward/reverse lever that has the broken trim switch in it.

Engine needs-
-tune up
-service
- “new carb” needs love
-gas gauge inop

Drive needs-
-forward/reverse lever replaced
-trim switch replaced
-trim gauge inop
-service

Don't assume that the switch in the controller is bad unless you have also validated that the trim limit on the port side of drive isn't bad or miss aligned. Don't assume the trim gauge is bad unless you know that the trim sending unit on the starboard side of drive is working.

These are the only 2 I have so far. She will need a floor in the next year or 2 and interior but everything else is really solid.

Find and post the engine and stern drive serial numbers for a parts catalog guide... also post a photo of the shift handle if you believe you need parts for the shift/throttle handle assembly at the helm.

There are lots of youtube videos of how to replace mercruiser trim gauge and limit switches or just about any other work needed done just by doing video searches of the items in question.....Here's just an general example for you to start off with....,

or on the Back of the housing.

The Transom Serial number is located on the
