Beautiful car but not the polular / desirable year 1955 to 1957 is the sweet spot. I hope someone in the family wants it because it is a shame to sell it for the $12,000 - $20,000 it is worth depending on condition. It may be more if it is perfect but if someone with connection to the family wanted it for $15K it would be fair for both parties in my opinion.

My uncle sold a nice retro modded one built in the 90's a couple years back for 15K and it took him a bit to find a buyer.

had a fi sbc and 700r4 with the 90's tweed interior.

Like mentioned 54's aren't really all that popular.

No need to post it up. I will purchase the car site unseen at a fair market value tomorrow and have a trailer there within four days of the point of sale. Normally I stick to 59-64 Impalas, however, I always liked 53 and 54s. Check your messages for my contact information.

My son and I were on our way to go dirt biking yesterday. I'm pulling a trailer with the bikes in it doing about 60. I look in my side view mirror and tell my kid, "check out the '56 that is about to blow my doors off." Coming up fast, and passing me doing about 80 is a completely stock down to the wheels 56 Chevy 2 door. I had to chuckle at the modern Challenger and F250 that were trying to keep up with him.
Sadly my son had no idea what I was talking about when I said it. Kids these days.

Depending on how bad they want to sell it. It looks to be a nice car with some rare cool options. But as stated the market for those isn't the same as the rest. Being all original is a double edge sword. Looks cool, but really hard to enjoy it. Drum brakes, no overdrive 6-volt candles for headlights. For a around town cruiser be fine, but road tripping would be a long haul. That car to the right buyer is easy 25-30k right buyer being key word and how long do they want to sit on it.

At least 30K in todays market, plus its a hardtop.
As a benchmark. Here what 30K-ish gets you in todays market. If you know bombas like I know bombas, the add on this car are over the top.
Mirrors / Spot Lamps 6-8K
Canadian Continental kit 2-3K
Visor 1K
Rechrome bumpers and polished trim over 10K in todays market.
V8 with AC and air ride

All those extras are what I remove as fast as I can when the car I buy has all stuff bolted on. Can't stand any of it but I understand why some like it. Just not for me. Even the 1941 Buick fender trim on yours would have to go...unless I still had my '41 Sedanette. Another one out of the 70 odd cars I should have kept. hahaha

Now this is the way a lowered '54 hardtop should look, IMHO.

My father had a 57 2 door bel air hard top in 58-60. He always wanted another one. When I was a kid in 79-80 he bought another, we restored it, like yours it had a 327, but with solid lift Z28 cam, motor screamed…originally they had a 283, 327’s came out in 62

My first car when I was 14 was a 57 Bel Air, light blue with white top with an auto. My grandma bought it new and in '61 she was killed, not in it, but she was at the drivers side rear of the car and a big rig truck was cutting through a neighborhood, was going too fast and hit her. Pinning her between the tail fin and the truck. Grandpa had it repaired and then the car sat in the garage until 1970. He gave it to me and I can remember cleaning, waxing, learning how to change the oil, all that stuff that dad taught me. I drove it twice and dad talked me into selling it. I did, $225 and that was the going price, to a girl down the street and she wrapped it around a pole 6 months later. Looking back it had to have torn my dad up every time he saw his mom's car. I never even gave that a thought and feel bad about that to this day.

I am a sucker for those fastbacks too. Actually restored a 50 Chevrolet Fleetline 30 years ago and traded my Dad the car for our family Eliminator jet boat. He later sold the car at a Good Guys show for 16K and put the money down on a new 2015 Chevrolet Truck, which he still owns with 29K miles on the odometer.

Would not mind owning a 47 or 48 Fleetline but not at the 45K asking price. Too limited of a market for resale.

I love this car, so don't take this wrong.... but I would put those tires and wheels back on the camaro
I think you said that before we sold it. It's long gone with it's new owner. He can put whatever wheels he wants on it now.
