So, the company made a change to their label. What are your thoughts?

Stupid. Just like the new Life cereal commercial that they made Mikey a girl.
thought the same thing when I saw the life cereal commercial. same for remaking movies and changing to a female staff.

Somebody who gets paid to tell others what to be offended by told a legal group that the Native American female on the Land O Lakes is derogatory and racist to Native Americans. The Land O Lakes legal team thought it was cheaper to just eliminate their mascot than to fight the powerful liberal legal law groups. I guess nobody gets prosecuted for extortion anymore and people don’t fight for being in control of their own property anymore? But what’s a real pisser is that none of the groups opposing the mascot are even Native Americans or representing them.

Certainly familiar with the brand, but that was the extent of my knowledge. Now thanks to RDP, I know that the native American pictured for all those years was named Mia and was based on a 1928 painting. Learned it was started as a Co-op in 1921. Got two tubs of their butter, the smaller one has her on it, the larger one does not. I hadn't noticed prior to this thread.
Seems while some felt it a source of native pride, others, typical with modern times, felt it was a racial stereotype.
I'm sure it won't make any difference in our future purchasing decisions.

That’s the kind of butter I I always buy. I never really though much about it till one time my husband mentioned it, surprised to see it, with all the ridiculous political correctness shoved down our throats. Sadly, it was just a matter of time.

PC BS, but whatever.

Amish roll butter for the win! Once you use it, you won't buy anything else unless it is from some farm or something.

Growing up back in the Midwest,it is Sad these Companies that have been around and providing thousands of jobs and helping communities taht have to Bend for the PC Crowd that Throws Threats around like it is a game.

I wish these Good Companies would fight back.

Remember when the Washington Redskins Deal was Hot and Heavy?

There was a Survey of several Native American Tribes and the majority of them said it was Not disrespectful an d gave their support to continue.

The more that "CAVE' the further they will Grab.

History repeats itself, when society isn’t prepared those plotting against win.
They no longer teach history for a reason.

.

After a little digging around, I found my Indian maiden artwork. I did this with an X-Acto knife years ago to show my grandson how it's done. You gotta educate the youth, ya know?
