Whats my boat worth? '97 Essex Monarch

Preparing for the move and trying to figure out a fair price.
I checked out NADA and its showing between $18k and $19K.

'97 Essex Monarch 23' with Carbureted 454/7.4L and Bravo III duo prop
500 hours runs great and tops out at 50 gps
Great for Havasu chop
Imco powerflow manifolds
Silent Choice exhaust (Through transom/outdrive with actuator)
Perko switch w/ dual batteries
Newer Kenwood stereo with USB port
Has two 10" subs, 2 amps, 2 6" polks in cockpit, 2 6x9 polks in rear
Newer white Momo steering wheel
Newer bimini cover

Tanks are filled with non-ethenol premium and Stabil Marine every winter
Maintenance done by Concept Marine, Prestige and most recently Nordic
Full Drive off Service at Nordic last July
New fuel pump, trim indicator kit, water impeller last service
Rear hatch rebuilt by Concept Marine
Extreme tandem trailer
Bunks replaced by bunkrepair Sean
Stored indoors during my 9 years of ownership
Clean title/ Have boat history report from when I purchased it
Current CA registration for 2019

Bimini is faded.
Trailer has the usual rock chips
Spare tire bracket needs some TLC
I tried not to beach it much unless its sandy
Gel needs some TLC on swim steps (Faded) and there's a rub mark at the winch roller.

Will include a medium box anchor and sand spike
2 Throwable cushions
Newer tow cover

Seems like a nice clean boat. If the bunks, bearings and tires are okay, I'd start at least $24,000 OBO.

nice boat. bigger or fuel injected engine would be nice. the pinks are subtle so i dont think a big hit in value. with todays crazy market i would think low $20's.

IMO if you can wait until April when the first 90 degree days hit, its spring frenzy boat buying time. I'd super detail it and give $26,950 a shot.

Agree with most estimates, I sold my 99 21' Shockwave Skier a couple years ago for 24K, really clean with less hours though. Where is that storage unit and what do you pay is the bigger question?

Yeah I would agree with this 1000%. Every dollar you spend on a great detail job will pay back at least 5X! Plus it makes it a lot easier sale when somebody is actually interested and comes to look at it.

I wouldn’t wait for summer. There’s lots of people now who are just now starting to look at Boats for this summer. Personally I would list it @ $26K to start or have MOM list it for $29K. GLWTS

Thanks everybody for the opinions I appreciate it. I went ahead and scheduled a detail with Detail Specialties. I’m going to bring the boat over to Franks to get the trailer some attention too. I have some time so I might as well get it taken care of. Shoot it will probably look so good I might have to hold onto it a while longer

That pic was taken at Loc n leave storage before my house was built. It’s the only pic I had showing the tow cover.
I was paying $185 for a 40 footer.

If you’re looking for a storage unit I would sign up for alerts on Mohave Craigslist.
