What would a modern world war look like in the US?

Very recent events might leave people with a feeling that another world war is a possibility. What does that look like here in the States?

If entire casinos can be shut down remotely for money, is it safe to think that inflicting pain and destabilizing entire regions can be accomplished through power grids and public utilities, supply chains, etc? Economies of any scale would be sure to follow. If our individual bubbles are turned upside down, how long before the left and the right truly go after each other? Do foreign boots ever hit our soil amidst the chaos?

Let’s face it- we aren’t the same people that faced WW2. As an administration and a society would we bend in ways unthinkable just to get back to our easy lives?

I’m not a doomsdayer by any means, but the amount of beef I took deposits on today is unusual and conversations steered this direction.

Is this a real thing?

I think we are getting closer every day. This administration has given away oil, weapons and ammo. Had supplied plenty of cash to people that want nothing more than to kill us. Who know how many of those people have crossed our border. By no means do I think our military is as strong as it should be. With all our 3 letter agencies doing nothing but investigating Trump and his supporters our strategic intelligence is very limited.

We have slowly been putting supplies in storage just in case. God help us if it totally turns sideways.

@wash11 , all I can say is those that understand the true risks to our way of life, envy what you and others have built. Society is proving with each passing day how dependent we are upon a very fragile system. Our leadership has become a joke on the global stage. Our heads of various branches of government have been placed in the name of "equality", and not skill or knowledge. If our country is to enter a world war, for the sake of humanity, we better hope for a boots on the ground, traditional/conventional war. At least with that, there is a chance of survival, even if a more primitive existence.

Your chosen profession will bring you customers who believe it will be so you hearing it regularly should be expected.
Honestly, that’s exactly why I asked if it’s a real thing. My bubble is full of people that think it is. But I’m smart enough to know there are many other bubbles out there so was looking for insight.

Unfortunately I think whatever is going to happen will happen and there is not a damn thing we can do about it. It won’t matter if we have 1$ or 100mil in the bank. We will eventually be wiped off the face of the earth with nuclear weapons in the end. People will play by rules of war to start but when another country starts losing the upper hand depending who it is I can see nuclear war becoming a real thing.

? Do foreign boots ever hit our soil amidst the chaos?
I may sound rather arrogant or overly confident when I say this but?

I don’t think that would work out well for them?
Regardless of what state they land in, be it Oregon, Cali, Maine, NY,
People are armed to the hilt.
Some guys out there have enough guns and ammo to arm their entire neighborhood.
I wouldn’t want to walk into a foreign land, where people know where they are, where things are, where their friends are, who their friends are, and they are a gun living and loving society as a whole with unarmed outliers quickly understanding the reality of the situation at hand.
Nothing brings Americans together more tightly than a crisis like that.
We all saw 9-11 and the unity it created.

This is true. I guess I never thought of it this way. Between the guns and ammo I have here I could honestly prob arm every person on my street. Now if we bring my dad into the mix he can probably arm half the city of chino. 😂😂

The fact that we are having this conversation, and many feel the same way, is exactly why we are still "free" for most intents and purposes.

Far too many gun owners who don't vote, could care less about politics or any other shit other than the price of goods and keeping their slice of heaven alive.

Push too hard, who knows what will happen? That's the key, this nation was born with rivers of patriot blood, given freely to MAKE US FREE.

It literally would only take a few thousand deaths for the majority of the shit stirrers and corrupt politicians to take a few dirtnaps...we'll just hold new elections.

Maybe with a few new amendments like term limits, anti-corruption measures like clear audits and voting on how OUR tax dollars are used.

First thing however, is to kill the media completely, they are enemy numero uno IMO. I have never seen so many people obsessed with filming tragic events for "hits" rather than helping survivors or victims. Our Internet addiction is running America off the rails.

It should terrify you that a woman can make a better living showing sex acts or her body and selling views of it on the internet, than she can as a Harvard Grad with an MBA.

If she's attractive enough, she can sell worn underwear or even Farts....jesus.

Multiple children think that being an "Influencer" is a real fucking career......:eek:o_O:rolleyes: We've got a tough fight ahead of us.

Not sure how a single country would successfully invade the US. Our geography gives us some pretty great security and a lot of our military installations take advantage of that geography.

I think it would be multiple countries. N Korea, Chine, USSR and maybe a few Middle East countries and I think it will start internally with some of the border crossers.

Can you imagine how quickly millions would die if they spark off something like a Jihad while living here?

I know many people who don't fucking trust new immigrants at all, especially relocated ones. Target Acquired.

One word…..EMP
game set match

Yep. It’s not inconceivable that our power grid could be brought down by just a few EMP’s. If our power grid goes down long-term, society will collapse. If society collapses, some say 80% of us will be gone within a year. That may be a stretch, but also not inconceivable because most of us no longer know how to survive without grocery stores and all the modern conveniences.

Food, fuel, guns, ammo…..and good luck. 😉

Fuel will only last so long. Catch me chopping logs for a wood burning stove and campfire cooking in the fire place lol

If I had a 7mm Savage with a large light gathering scope it would make a good sniper rifle, especially if I had a couple thousand rounds of ammo.

Crawling around in a homemade ghillie suit might be a problem for this broken down old MF'er.

😁

what about a 303 Savage?

also, they will tear us apart from within and just sew seeds of civil unrest until we handle ourselves.

We don't need to worry about ww3, we need to worry about civil war 2.0. the rest of the world will need to worry about ww3

They don’t have to come here, they’re here.
Exactly.
If you gotta ask, you’re late to the party.
We are not a sovereign country anymore.
Soros owns every Dem coast to coast from District Attorneys and up.
The bilderbergs and Rothschild’s own every country, except Russia maybe, and the WEF and UN and everything else.
Call me crazy, I don’t care.
I won’t be the one standing paralyzed in shock.

As Tommy has said, it's an exciting time to be alive.

As a whole, I'd say we've become overly dependent upon things we take for granted. Water from the tap, power outlets and grocery stores. Darkness can show you the light. Human priorities can change in an instant. A million in the bank is not food to eat. A beautiful home in the city, may become a beacon to those of ill intent. Take everything we know, and scramble it...learn a hundred years of lost skills in days, or cease to be.

agree.. they would have to some how take over land and create a base.. mexico or Canada would be there only way.. But with open boarders anything is possible.

You can carry a couple thousand rounds of ammo?
And if so…why?
The best snipers in history have records of what? 100-300 kills? If that?
Any one of them could achieve those numbers with 500 rounds or less.
It’s like having thousands of rounds squirreled away in the basement.
Let’s do the math with 1000 rounds.
Even a horrible shot should put 1 in 10 on target, at least?
So that’s 10 casualties per 100 rounds.
If a yuppie “soldier” managed to fire 1000 rounds before his house is fire bombed and strafed that’s 100 bodies laying in the yard minimum.
What invading army, what domestic opposition, what LE agency, what domestic military force or 3 letter agency will suffer those casualties to ONE guy with a rifle?
Answer: zero.

Hey, I have no illusions. I’ll be right there beside you. But let’s not pretend that we will Rambo our way out of this.
We’ll do what we can while we can where we can until we can’t.

If I had guns and ammo, I’d post something like this.
My sniper rifle has about 300 rounds behind it.
My carry rifles and SBR’s have a few K, my scatter guns have a couple K.
If I “win” a few, I’ll have more ammo, if I lose I won’t need it.

You need to work on discerning between a tongue-and-cheek post and someone that's a closet Rambo with ideas of holding off a battalion from behind a bush.

Lol
Maybe we both do?
I’m just trying to picture either one of us crawling around dragging a few thousand rounds of anything behind us.
