Time Warner just ass raped me for 50 more bucks a month because I ordered another box for the house and they failed to mention that once you alter your account they switch from the old Adelphia cost to the new Time Warner cost...ouch! Now apparently there is no turning back. I'm about over it. Anyone have any experience with AT&T U-Verse, Sattelite, Dish? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Thanks!

You just gotta know how to talk to them. Time Warner tried to do the same to me but after I threatened to ditch them I got them to reduce my price and extend my new member promo for another year. :D

It's Stacy...Do they have DVR's?

I just spent an hour on the phone with them and got credited $85 and a slap on the back. They offered to lower my bill by eliminating channels and getting rid of my DVR's....I hate those people right now.

I'm still trying to find the cord to my camera and we'll post our pics. It was great hanging out with you!

We put up with NPG's lousy signal for 4 years with promises of "it will get better" and you know what?? it did when i signed on with DirecTV about 1 year ago. Some little quirks but the picture is far far superior:beer NSF

Every time I opened the Time Warner Bill, it jumped another 10 Bones.
We were flirting with $200 per month!!!

So we went Direct. Free installation.
It's 5 high def TV's in the house and for 10 bux more a month 2 TVs in the RV at the river too.
300 channels / 100 High Def. for about $129 a mo.

I like the idea of having cable at the river as well. :)

What about internet? I'm pretty sure we have internet with Time Warner as well?

You can have internet and TV with different companies. It's not against the law.

Here's a little tip. By a DirecTV dish off eBay, take it to the river, mount it on your pad and when you leave for a trip, take one of your boxes from home. Plug it in, hook up the coax to it and you now have TV at the river for the same all inclusive price.

Or just add a permanent 2nd box for $5 a month.

Directv for sure.
If you are a Verizon customer, you can get High speed internet with Directv all in one shot.

If you have Verizon check out FIOS. Internet, Phone, Digital progamming all for $115.00/month. Don't bother paying extra for the faster internet connection the slow version screams.

FIOS TV sucks ass. The box sucks, the HD content sucks and the customer service sucks. I love the internet though.

This is what I do. I have 3 t.v.'s in Havasu for $15.

We use the Cheap ATT Yahoo.
3 computers in the house, they hooked it all up wireless free, and about $19 a mo.
Much better e mail than Roadrunner.

Heres what we do. We use Directv for the TV stuff, but, we use the local cable channel for a cable modem. MUCH faster than any dial up I have ever seen, and better. Costs about 50 a month, but worth it. DTV also offers a Sat. modem but they are very costly to install..(last I checked it was 500) and very expensive per month, so we nixed that idea. Best to me is use your cable for your internet, and get DTV for the Tv's in the house.....
