Hey Rich!!!
Is that a Hallett? It looks like the boat that Mickey Thompson was having built for Dave MacDonald when he was killed at Indy in 1964. Mickey gave it to Sherry, Dave's widow, and I believe she sold it a year or two later.
Did I ever mention how much I like this thread?
Ya, I like it.
Now if only Old rigger would add a few more to his Awesome thread....

@Wheeler, what's going on with the pic of Headgate dam? It's not a construction picture as it was built during WWII and those trucks are clearly later than that.
Also, do you know the year this shot of the strip was taken? I can see our lot in Marina Village! Very cool pic, thanks for posting it up.

The best I can tell from info. on the photo it was 1973.
I want to know more about the Lagoon at the Annex.
We should have annexed the annex and kept the lagoon.

Tom has some pics
Tom said he has some pics of his kids boating/skiing in there. We should see if he can find them.

That’s the story Tom told me one afternoon during cocktail hour on the cabana. Wether that version is true or not, the homes are gone and it makes our view nicer.
Sucks for those people though.
Nothing like putting my foot in my mouth, eh.The 2nd dock down river was my Grandfathers. Had a 100 year lease on it until they kicked him off.

I will be shooting for at least an Hour earlier on Saturday!Something I’ve always tried to keep in mind whenever I do an “early” start-up!. It never seems to be before 7:30ish but that might change.
Interested in some feedback especially from riverfront property owners.
Cheers!

I remember when they were there .. I seem to recall some fireworks may have been shot back and forth across the river .

Thank you so much Ron .. I still cant believe its back home ....Thanks for posting these photos. I bought the boat on Thanksgiving day in 2001, and spent two years disassembling it, color sanding, polishing, and rebuilding the 427 FE. In 2004, my wife and I pulled it out to the Avi and the Classic Boat Beach Bash. We won the award for 'the most classic v-drive', and met a bunch of friends I had only known online.
I am so pleased to learn Karen is taking it home.
Thanks for posting Wheeler.

@Wheeler - Random thought, maybe try to use youtube to host the videos. Its a FAR superior in terms of throughput and resolution. Beyond that you can tag the crap out of the videos, get people to click on them and get some revenue out of the deal But I love love love this thread, so either way, its appreciated.
