Well of course mine would have to be "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley, but second would be "The Decline" by NOFX. Not many bands make 18min songs. I saw them perform the entire song at the House of Blues years back. Pretty rad.

So what's yours?

Favorite hard rock song from my favorite rock album. Probably just because of the time in my life when it came out. LOL.

Dunno about favorite song but 2112 and The Wall have to be in the top 5 All-Time concept albums for sure.

I have quoted lines from Something For Nothing to my class many times. :thumbsup

Comfortably Numb...I can listen to that song time, and time, and time again. My youtube account is populated with every version I can find. :thumbsup

Yes, Stairway too, but Comfortably Numb has got to be the best rock song ever.

Sweet Child O Mine coming up in third.

Boston, anything off of the first album and almost anything off the second.
Rock and Roll Band, Smokin' incredible music that makes my mood change and turns on the memories. I smile every time I hear them, what more can you ask from music.

Country?
Anything Cash, and classic George Jones 'He Stopped loving Her today"

Jazz?
Sleepwalk by Larry Carlton..Fourplay...Chris Bhotti..

I never get tired of hearing Sultans of Swing. Mark Knopfler is one of the all time greatest guitarist ever.

Here's ten minutes you won't regret wasting.

How can you "a" favorite song? If you have been around along enough you know what I mean. All of the above mentioned are worthy to those who posted them.:thumbsup

I agree, charly.
I love just about all kinds of music, and have all my life. we probably have 200 LP's and at last count over 500 CD's from every era of music starting with the late 40's all the way through last year.
Nailing one song is impossible for me.

Ditto. We are in the same boat. I try NOT to discriminate when listening to "new" music, but you know, a lot of it doesn't hold up to the stuff we grew up with.

I can't really just pick one great song. A few songs that I can listen to over and over include:

Chris Cagle - Chicks Dig It
Gary Allan - Right Where I Need to be
Metallica - Unforgiven
Foo Fighters - Wheels
Tu Pac - Changes

And just about anything by Eric Church.

3 good songs, especially like bread fan.
For me Back in Black is a classic. First song/ album after Bon Scott died. I was still in high school and I really liked high school.

Yea it is pretty hard to pick just one. Especially when I like several different genres. But the one I originally posted is defiantly up there.

Another one of mine would be this one. For some reason it makes me think of driving to the river. Possibly because a long time ago I forgot my CDs and Ipod, billet antennas dont work well in the desert for radio and all I had was this CD.

...Nothing like the whine of a steel guitar.
