With the 32’s on mine likes to cruise right where the hull packs air in the high 60’s. With the 34’s the motors seem happier if I keep it in the 75 range.

Basically I’m either going 25-30 pulling the wife on skis, 15-20 pulling the boys on wakeboard, or 70 everywhere else.

I dont check mph or gph very often, but my last data point was at LOTO, full boat (8 or so people) I burned 75 gallons from the house we were renting by the cave bar, to the dam/pink taco and back.

The amount of 2 stroke oil the 300’s burn raise the cost per mile a fair bit more!!

With new people I cruise at 60 or less.

With the wife she is getting comfy at 85 ish.

Boat can do over 100 easy.

Been telling the wife we need a boat with twin 450s cause it takes 91 fuel. She laughs everytime when I’m loading these into the truck. View attachment 1350238
You need to resell her...Merc 450s run on 89 all day every day!!! Ill be the first to admit that I was talking out my ass every time I bad mouthed an OB... Im sold on them now... and it seems the 500 is that much better.

there is nothing "efficient" about my setup. If I was worried about that I'd leave her in the garage.

I'd say most of the time i'm usually cruising around 50-60, it seems thats about where everyone I go out with hangs with their bigger heavier boats.

Sweet spot equals 1 GPM @ 80 to 100.

for my friends who know nothing about boats we cruise at 60 to 70 all day long just haul ass buddy, to my V Drive friends we cruise at 3500, would guess 40mph. The boat patrol on Kings River says I cruise at 50 as that is what their Radar read, never knew I had a 100mph flat until that afternoon, hell if 3k was 50 mph and I can twist 6300 out of the old girl, I got my 100 right :)

I think the OP should have gone higher on speeds. My boat doesn't plane until 30+ mph. lol

My speed limiter kicks in at about 50 the level of the decibels of the wife yelling slow down hits in that range.

Tach is a little off vs the vessel view, but typically 3100-3200rpm at 42-45mph

Nope. Tired. Just cruise at 5mph
I did figure out if I lost a motor on my Mach 26, I could stay in the throttle on the running motor, and it would stay on plane.
