Don't seem to hear about them anymore...???? no interest??? I for one don't wanna take my rv out to the desert down the whoop section of the race track.... but, would like to go if there was a get together... I was thinking, what about crazy horse... maybe book the section where the channel starts.... or even the spot coming into havasu,... seems most everyone has some sort of camper/rv.... lets do a camp out...

Believe it or not..
I am 51 years old, and prefer a tent.. lol….

But I dont tent camp much in the heat.. mostly in the mountains with lots of trees…

I am planning a moab trip this year…most likely stay in a ”hampton inn” or something close to it, who knows.. if a smoking deal popped up that had re sell profit in, I might take the plunge for an RV or toy hauler

There’s a lot of area with camp spots off of Shea rd. Shea is paved until you get way out, and even then it’s graded. There are hundreds of mojo’s out there for the Parker 425, which is cancelled this year. Plenty of good areas to ride and explore.

I’ll be tenting in a couple days in sub freeze temps. At dove springs. My tent game is solid.👍

You guys went in the wash, lol. The camp grounds are above the wash off the road, they are fenced off from the wash so people can’t just blast through your camp also

You gotta go further down Shea then you guys were.

The way Shea Rd is it might be smoother in the dirt.

That is one spot. There are 100’s of spots out there. I just liked that spot because the dunes are right there.

I am down to go camping anytime! If ya want we can plan something for late January/ early February?

I’d be down to try to plan a big ride from Glamis North. It’s right outside Salton Sea. We were out there a month ago for the first time. 100ft pull through spots with full hookups. They also had some cabin deals that could be rented for the RDP people who don’t have rigs?

Steve is talking about the dry camping trips we used to do out in the desert.

Feb 2-11. It’s hit and miss with the weather it can be bone chilling or actually pretty warm.

Heck, depending on timing, I might try to come down. Bit of a haul but could be fun. The Cruiser is not built for sand but would run around just fine. Just no airing it out or anything truly stupid.

Thats a good time... The loop to Chiriaco summit is pretty cool , and going through Slab city is very sobering... we have run down to Glamis Vendors for lunch and one trip we went all the way to the border one day...that was a FULL day in the desert...
