What are these bugs?

They invaded my pergola in the last month or so. They’ll disappear during the day and then in the afternoon they all show up clustered together. They do leave this like brown powdery probably poop residue. I’ll be replacing the pergola anyways if it’s something causing damage. Just curious what they are. Size wise little bigger than grain of salt.

Either one is an invasive species that should be eradicated with extreme prejudice!
