Just got my Honey Bake catalog. Lots of items I was not aware of, like ribs and pork roasts. We typically cook, but we think it’s getting to to much work. We have established our guest list, mostly neighbors. We’ll cook a turkey breast and homemade pies. Probably get a ham from honey bake. Neighbors will supply the rest. What’s your plan?😎

Honeybake has turkey as well. Its actually really good.

Not sure about yours but the one near me changed their whole food menu up and got rid of a bunch of things and changed some of their prepackaged meal options. So just be aware of that was a corporate change.

As for our plans, gonna be in Havasu for the week. Cook at the place as usual, and then go check out the Regatta at Bluewater and maybe go hit some golf balls at Emerald Canyon.

Depending on the weather/temp, may go for a boat ride or even waterski (wetsuit if we do).

Doing Thanksgiving in Havasu this year. Deep fryin a turkey and getting the house ready for the snow birds to show up in December.

I'm leaving on the day after for a trip in the camper, gonna check out Monument Valley and the areas around it, run up into Moab for a bit, and prob head home.

We normally pack up the travel trailer and head to Calico with the grandkids in tow but have decided to just stay home thus year. It will still be a 10 course meal though as my wife goes way overboard. I deep fry our turkey as well.

Daughters are coming in early. Will start cooking & baking with mom before hand. Home made pies.

Day of, daughters help me make mashed potatoes and stuffing. Old recipes passed down from my mom.

I do the turkey. Nothing fancy. Just do it the old fashioned way in a roaster in the oven but. . . the turkey has to be a good one. Not one of those shitty birds from the supermarket. I get a fresh one from a local butcher. No growth hormones or shit like that.

Usually stay at echo for the week but it’s not working out for most of the crew this year. This our first year for the holidays since my dad past away, so ithe wife and i are going to go stay at my moms in Mohave valley so she’s not by herself. She is very excited to have us and the kids. She will make way too much food. The boys are going to bring their dirt bikes so i am going to try to find somewhere good in the area for them to ride.

We will have multiple "Turkey Days" due to nephews and grandkids.

One day I am going to do home made turkey pot pies. They are great with pie crust.

SaltGrass is pretty good. I've gone to the one in Tulsa a few times with the kids. It's not a 4 or 5 stars deal, but decent food with reasonable pricing.

Headed to Duck Creek Utah Wednesday morning, staying in a cabin till Sunday. I'm not a huge fan of turkey, so just gonna take a good size turkey breast to throw on the grille for the family, I'll probably have a steak.

We’re hosting both sides of the family and some friends, around 30 people. We’re giving our Moms the day off (and my wife) so we ordered two 15-17 pounders from this BBQ joint called Green Acres in Simi Valley (@4Waters knows how good they are) that we’ll pick up the day of. This place is so damn good.

My side of the family, mom and sisters, are making and bringing Persian food and my wife’s side of the family is bringing the ham and all the sides and fixens. I’m gonna grill a couple of Tri-Tips and make deviled eggs with my sister-in-law (that’s our thing).

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year and I don’t take it for granted. I’m lucky that both sides get along and we all love each other and we all love this country. Both sides immigrants and my wife’s side of the family has a Marine veteran (Dad), Army Veteran (Brother), and two in service now.

We either hosted or went to another family member’s house for many years, typically with 25-30 people. Last year, for a variety of reasons, that didn’t happen, so we ended up going with a small group to our country club for a buffet dinner. The food was every bit as good as anything we could make, with turkey and all the trimmings, along with prime rib, seafood, and a variety of desserts, and it was the most relaxing Thanksgiving ever. This year, we decided that’s a fine new tradition.

We’ll still get together with my siblings and our offspring at Christmas, but only because the next generation will be hosting. 👍

I'll be honest, I'm jealous of you guys that have all the family over. That's how I was raised, and we always had extended family show up also, easily 25-30 people stuffed into my grandparents house for dinner. It was great.

For better or worse I haven't been able to continue that tradition with my kids. Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays.

Same plans as every year. I eat too much, drink too much, talk too much politics and hope that will keep the money sucking leaches away for another year.
It should be easier this year than last so really looking forward to it. 😉

Heading to Redondo to one set of inlaws while another set of inlaws picks up my awesome daughter from college in San Diego and meets us in Redondo, can't wait to see my baby! Redondo inlaws have already asked if I like pork or beef ribs - mmm mmm good, prime rib on a stick for the win!!!

Then the Friday after Thanksgiving has morphed into an immediate fam tradition of setting up (yes, fake...!) and decorating the tree - we've pretty much accumulated enough ornaments over the years where every ornament has some kinda sentimental meaning to it; either we've picked it up on a family vacation, or we got it as a gift, or the kids made them in school, or they're picture ornaments from years ago, or...? It's basically an annual walk down memory lane and a reflection about what a wonderful, healthy, and blessed life we've had the good fortunate to enjoy. 🧅🧅🧅

Ordered a 16-18lb GOLD American wagyu brisket from Snake River Farms. Been wanting to order from them for about two years now and finally decided to pull the trigger. Going to be a 14-16hr smoke and I cannot wait!
