Well tomorrow is dyno day with Steve Brulé @ Westech.
This motor was built a few years ago by a reputable motor builder but was never dyno’d (family friend).

Any guesses on HP numbers?!
I am thinking in the 700~ Range.

Forged 468” BBC Mark IV
12.5:1 (110 Oct)
Steel Crank, Good Rods & JE Pistons
Edelbrock Performer RPM 454-R 315cc Heads
Good valves, springs and match ported.
Engle Racing Cam - Solid Roller .690" Lift
(2) 750cfm Race Demon Carbs

nice looking Sanger Chris. A little more info. would be helpful to determine a reasonable guess. At 1.53 hp/cu. in. I am going to say your prediction is pretty accurate at 7500 rpm-ish. What rpm do you expect it to run in? How much, what kind of work has been done to the intake tract? Good luck on the dyno day, always exciting and anxious at the same time. Hopefully when you get'r all dialed in and a re-installed in the boat you will post a video of launching, making passes etc. Where do you typically run your boat?

Good luck. If I was still in Riverside I would stop in.

What happened to the rag on the chain against that bad ass fabbed valve cover? :)

don't like demons or B.G. more specifically? I understand he pissed a lot of people off with his "customer svc" or lack there of.
My experience with demons has been on hot streak stuff and I just don't like themlol. Minimum experience with them.
I would think you need dominators and biggerheads to be hard in the 7s. Hope you get your numbers though.

Im sayin 650-675 on the outside.

Thinkin the carbs will be the limiter as well, then the heads. What size valves are in it? Cam lift/duration/rocker ratio?

haha yeah, not the most economical boat I've owned.
It also had 103lbs of oil pressure @ 7,200rpm *YIKES*

Yea, you prolly need to get a look at that relief spring before you put that oil girl back in.

Big Block Mopars have an external oil pump. :)

Love that scene!

Same movie, just an earlier scene. It's the scene where Old Man Pappas first meets Johhny Utah at the training pool. C'mon keep up Brother!!

Apparently you were distracted during the first few minutes! Too busy cracking open that cold beer and leaning the recliner back to notice! :D

Nice! I am just going to run it to Lake Kaweah early Saturday or Sunday morning, I've got to put the motor back in tonight and then button up the wiring and cleaning this week.

I was up there Friday afternoon, its already a mud hole, can't believe how much it's gone down.

Good to know, we went a couple of weeks ago in the other boat and it was still ok.
maybe I'll just go to Millerton Lake, its only 25-30min further to Meadows on the (North Side)
