Down sizing!!! Moving out of our nice 2 bedroom place in Costa Mesa to a one bedroom in Belmont Shore. signing the papers this weekend and on to a new chapter in our lives for me and my girl! Life has been really odd the last few months, wife is working in Vegas, only home on the weekends, me here but life is good! The good thing is I can walk 2 blocks and watch the start of the Catalina ski race!!! YEA!!! Just venting, in a good way though, going to be saving a butt load of money, moving sucks but we do what we have to do!! Have a great day all and let's ski soon!

Belmont Shores is a fun area. I've been a bit plastered in Legends once or 20 times :champagne:

I just moved a month ago from Costa Mesa to Playa Del Ray. Our shop moved to Gardena from Monterey Park. I am now extremely enjoying my 15 minute drive to work

I lived in an apartment on Nieto st, behind the drugstore in 1969
rent was OUTRAGEOUS,................$275 a month, for a studio :skull There was a great "omelett" place just off Ximeno blvd., Egg Heaven, bunch of long haired hippiies owned it Great place to live back then. I could make it to work to Slauson blvd at the other end of the LB fwy in about 30 minutes,................25 if I was runnin late

We found a pretty good deal! Big one bed one bath and a garage and going to save us about a 1000.00 a month. 2 blocks to the beach and 2 blocks to 2nd street. Like I said another chapter in our lives but I think it will be all good and we are moving towards our goals.

Egyptian Pharmacy is the place......


I grew up one block over on Corona Av, between 2nd and Division. My folks still live there. My first job was a Sweet Jills on the corner. I have some of my best memories living and growing up there. Nothing but good ass times when I go out down there now a days. I would move the family down there in a second if you could get a nice yard and some bigger lots.

Used to spend a lot of time in Belmont Shore on Argonne (two blocks from Nieto) half a block from the water.

Ripples isn't far from there and that place used to attract a large crowd of rainbow warriors. I assume things are still the same there.

Only problem is finding a place to park. Hopefully your place has a garage or reserved parking.
