I’ve never been a fan of Harbor Freight it’s been years since I’ve been in the store.
But after finding out that Pro Eagle jack was made in China I decided to go look at the Badlands jack
Now I know a lot of the HF stuff is poorly made when I got it home I was not expecting the quality and fit and finish of this jack
I have read a bunch of the reviews but it is way nicer than I expected

Harbor Freight has came a long way in the last few years. Seem to get better every year. Not as cheap as it used to be but the quality reflects that. Alot of stuff is made in the same factory as Husky, Kobalt, ect. At a better price same product just different name.

As a hobbyist HF is great. They have quality tools at reasonable prices. If I was a career mechanic Snap-On would be the only way for me.
The tool trucks have their advantages, like coming by the shop weekly....kind of like that one buddy that showed up on Friday nights with "candy".

I'm far from a professional mechanic, but pay my bills with my tools, so kinda? There are tools that are my "go-to" types, I really like SnapOn ratchets and extensions for instance. That said, I bought a 3/4 Icon breaker bar that I have put a 5ft pipe on to break some serious stuff loose. I also bought a "Quinn" digital 1/2 torque wrench because I couldn't afford a 700$ TechWrench. I actually tested it on the tool truck's gizmo, because I was worried. It tested good, the driver was surprised. For me though, I don't do enough modern stuff to justify the added cost for that particular tool.

I have a few of the badlands jacks. No issues with them and we have used them a ton.

I got one Saturday. Really happy with the quality. Your other post about the Pro Eagle helped me with the decision.

I have been very pleased with their tools. You just have to be buying them for the correct application for their price. The ICON line...... if you dont want to worry about it and are looking for great quality, the Quinn and Doyle lines.... you are ok if they break but are also ok with paying more money for a little better quality and strength. Pittsburgh..... If you only need it for a single use or do not care if if breaks right away. I find it to be really nice to have those options.

Their toolboxes and floor jacks though will rival any of the big names without a doubt and should persuade just about anybody from paying the crazy money the trucks ask for those.
