The asshats on NFL today just compared the actions of JJ Watt, who has raised over $30 million in hurricane relief funds, as being no different than Kaepernick??

They said that calls for players to "stick to football" should apply to Watts actions???

WTF???

WTF has Kaepernick done? JJ Watt's deal has raised almost 30 million dollars for the relief efforts in Texas. Kaepernick isn't even a blip on the radar for his BS efforts. I wish Kaepernick had the same modest attitude as when I met him in is Wolfpack days walking through the local Walmart.

IT's the difference between positivity and negativity...if that conversation happened, then the announcers are truly tone-deaf IMHO.

Oh it happened.
Their reasoning was that Watt using the stage was the same as Kaepernick and others using the stage, and if you say that they "should stick to football" then it should also apply to Watts actions.

On a side note, there seems to be a positive action in Cleveland with team members and LE meeting, and working towards some sort of understanding.

"The Colin Kaepernick Foundation announced on Thursday that it donated $100,000 across three different organizations in March as part of a pledge to distribute $1 million to various groups over a 10-month period. Kaepernick's foundation has donated a total of $600,000 so far. The organizations receiving donations in March included:

Life After Hate, Inc. Their stated goal is working with people to leave a "life of hate" and to work with organizations who are dealing with racism and intolerance.

Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle, located in Baltimore. The group works to improve the living conditions of African-Americans in the region.

Silence is Violence, based in New Orleans. Its goal is creating a "safe and equitable New Orleans."

Good job JJ Watt...

Like I said, what has he done, not much from the looks if it and not much more in the future since no team wants him. His BS stories of the Reno PD giving him shit when he was here playing are just that BS. The kid had it made here and once he became a bench warmer he had to get his name in the news to try to stay relevant.

I agree 100%, good job JJ Watt!!! Lots of NFL players but only a few that are actual good role models for our kids that actually make a difference.

Sounds to me it would have been easier to just drive down the freeway and throw money out the window, the results would be the same.

JJ and many of his teammates have been out in the community helping physically in addition to raising much needed funds. No comparison and should never have been brought up by announcers or other talking heads trying to stir up shit for ratings.:thumbsdown:thumbsdown

"Life after hate" is a Chicago based non-profit that was founded by ex- skinheads to help other misguided fools get out of hate organizations.
Sounds good, right?
Their primary goal however is battling "extreme right hate groups".
That's all fine and good...and I think the founders might actually have been sincere at one point.
But the reality is that Obama issued a $400k grant for them to persue their efforts...
So it turns into a Chicago based special interest arm of the left.
In June, Trump pulled that grant, along with other grants issued by obama to other special interest groups as well.

This group may be a good thing, getting people out of the circle of hate is never wrong.
But I have a hard time reconciling that with Obamas actions and intent with the funding he approved.

It's the fed taking sides. And all Kaepernick did was pay the rent for a special interest group.
Not exactly a great act of humanitarian effort.
More like assisting an ongoing crusade.

The problem I have with a foundation like Kap's is if they actually vet the groups they give funding out to and fully understand just what they do. Having a website and being an honest enterprise to help solve community issues is a far cry from knowing what actually takes place.

Kap to me got into this whole crusade bullshit because of a radical piece of pussy that has him wrapped around her finger. She went so far as to badmouth Ray Lewis who had the Ravens convinced on giving Kap a chance, killing the only team to actually express interest in signing him. This woman produces an ongoing output of racial hate and is likely using the Kap up for what she can.

Just me maybe, but all the groups Chilly listed are questionable unless there is some oversight on what they do with the funds given. The media certainly hasn't talked about them to any extent nor has anyone else made them more known. Why such low profiles if they're doing good work?

Jemele Hill is a racist based on her comments on issues such as why there are fewer blacks in baseball percentage wise than in the past. Her comments always have a blacks being picked on lean. It indicates ESPN itself is leaning more left. It's been ongoing and management is too blind to see it will eventually cost them and/or break them.

One of my favorite shows was the long running "The Sports Reporters". Very popular show and suddenly without warning canceled. Rumors say it had to do with an "old white men" image that was ridiculous based on the fact many of the reporters, including Hill on a regular basis, were black and hispanic.

PC is alive and killing off diversity and debate if it does not fit the left agenda......Hopefully in the end, it will kill off the left itself.;)
