I had a float switch in before that seem to always get stuck in the on position. Figured I would try one of these. Guess we'll see how it goes. Try it out next week.

Gotta say the same thing for mine. It doesn't turn off when I need it to and doesn't turn on when I need it to. Lol.

Good thing yours doesn't ever need to actually work. Boat stays pretty dry on the trailer all the time. [emoji6]

I have 8 of them in the ocean cat out of 13 pumps. Not a single issue in years. I have to say the picture shows the switch mounted flat on its back. Not their designed intention.

Bilge pumps on the whole are drama.

Personally I like these.....Whale makes a good pump.

I've seen a lot of them fail. Plus the housings on them crack loose at the ears where you screw them down. A couple of suppliers I use won't carry them because they've had so much trouble.

I guess I didn't do enough research. Well hopefully it will last through Summer. 🙏 I can Re-Evaluate after that. Thanks for the input, everyone have a Safe 4th. 🎉 looking forward to getting boat out, especially after the holiday is over. When the River and Lake is the nicest.

It does not look like it is mounted in the correct orientation. I always mounted them screwed to a vertical surface so the two contacts are separated and that is what will turn the pump on and off. I'm not sure it will work the way you have it set up. That's just my two cents though.

I put one in my boat. It worked great for a season. Then it went to shit and didnt work at all. Waste of $45. And i RARELY get water in my boat so its not like the contacts corroded or anything.
