Just finished building these for a customer's 21ft Howard. He picked up a used pair of CMI headers for his boat and wanted to move the exhaust exit above the swim step. These are 5" x 4.5" at the v-band flange reduced down to 4.5" x 4" at the transom. Had my buddy laser cut some stainless blanks to block off the old exhaust holes. Had everything polished and the headers re-polished.

Nice work! Have you done jacketed exhaust before? The v band flange, is that something you buy or did you make that as well?

Thank you! Yes I have been doing water jacketed tailpipes for several years. These CMI headers came with the v-band flange setup. We purchased the mating flange to build off of from CMI as well as the clamps.

Probably a stupid question…

Where exactly does the water go from jacketed to entering the exhaust?
