Wanted to Buy - Gas Cap

'78 Spectra with a belly tank. Somewhere on the way to Laughlin, my screw on gas cap decided to part ways with the boat and left just the chain hanging.

Anyone have one lying around that they'd like to sell or know a source?

Probably 2" inner diameter and 3" outer diameter screw on cap: smooth top, knurled on the sides, heavy as hell chromed brass.

Can't find a source anywhere and I'd like to keep it original.

I'm trying to find a better picture, but guess the cap hasn't been the focus of any images :rolleyes

I have a gas cap off a '78 24 Spectra that I'm sure is what your looking for. I have no use for it as I put flush mount caps on when I redid the tanks. You can just give me shipping. I always have a hard time getting rid of old parts. Love to see people keeping these boats up. I have gotten so much info and help on restoring mine on this site but have never posted before. Spectras are pretty rare in the Midwest. Anyway send me your info if you still need the cap and Ill get it out to you.

Don't want to hijack from the op, but if he doesn't want it or has already found another, can I have it. I've got a 73 with the same caps and that dinky little chain is obviously just for looks.
