Further attempts to get Ca to pull their heads out of their asses and virtually amend the failures of Prop 47 and AB 109 via creating prop36. Polls show 71% of ca voters are behind it. We'll see.

Prop 36 2024 seeks to tighten sentencing laws for repeat offenders, particularly those with multiple serious or violent convictions. The measure addresses what its supporters see as loopholes in Proposition 47, which they argue have allowed repeat offenders to avoid significant punishment.

This is a very wordy and sales pitch read about it but it looks like this prop36 aims at giving people the chance for diversion but if they decide to keep on fucking up and doing drugs and stealing and being dregs on society...They go to jail. You know, bring back accountability lost with prop47 prop57 and AB109

Oh, and I realize it's political but shouldn't be polarizing. I'd think most would like to know there's a prop on the table to try and reduce drugs and vagrancy and theft. Sorry if it belongs strictly in the political section.

I just don't understand why these fkn politicians have such a bleeding heart for violent & repeat criminals.

Unfortunately, It’s a way to divide the populace. They look down on people like you and I and want to divide it further.

They don't. They can't afford to support the bloated salaries for the prison guards. So instead of hiring more guards or building prisons they just let criminals out.

I'm not saying they don't have the money. They would just prefer spending it on other crap.
I believe the point is the voters should decide not the democraps. Politicians have turned wasting money into an art form.

How many gas taxes have we paid for in CA where the money doesn’t go to the roads infrastructure? Too many, and idiots keep believing the politicians that say it will.

Somehow it’s racist to hold thieves accountable. 🤷‍♂️.

Last sentence sums it up. It costs money to incarcerate people.

The state spent over 25 billion dollars over the last five years to support drug addicts on the streets. They have the money...

This whole "let criminals out of custody" stuff via prop 47, 57 and AB109 started because the inmates and lawyers sued the state regarding over crowded jails. And they won. Courts told CA to build more jails, or let people out. Gov. Brown did NOT want to spend money on more jails so, release the inmates is what followed. And has had disastrous results - Vagrancy, drug use and theft exploded.

It is easier to spend the money (and hide the money) via the 25 billion spent rather than build new jails or actually fix the problem. Which would be to hold people accountable, set up massive counseling and case management system for addicts, bring back 666pc, expand social services to assist TRUE homelessness (situational homelessness, not vagrancy) and open real state mental helth facilities to house criticaly unstable mental health subjects.
Can't repeal prop 47 and AB109, gotta create a new prop at tax payers expense. Fuck democrats
Exactly what has to be done because every time (2 prior at least) Prop47 and AB109 have been put on the ballet to be ammended it gets voted down by ca voters because Newsom spends millions on campaigning against it. And since ca has so many lib voters, they follow his word....Like sheep. ;)

Maybe the walmart employee lady in lake elsinore wouldn't have been murdered at 7am by a dindunuffin repeat offender with mental issues if this was law.

Can’t wait for Riv. Co. Sheriff Chad Bianco to run for Governor. It’s gunna be here before you know it. Well…2 years but looking forward to it
I guess after he did the "I support a felon / trump" video his asst. sheriff told him, like dude, probably wasn't a great idea to do that. He allegedly said, something to the affect that he didn't ask for his opinion and then fired him. LOL

Literally countless incidents like that. AB109 is a complete failure. over 90% recidivism rate.
