Anyone on RDP do wraps?
I have a “unique” item I’d like wrapped but not sure if it will work?
I have a 55 gallon plastic drum, I’d like to have it wrapped to look like old wood/whiskey barrel-ish.

Obviously it would have to be empty for ease of transport and working on it to wrap it.
But, after I fill it with water, will the barrel expand enough to split or ruin a wrap?

Chevellesb406 might be able to help. His cornhole boards are vinyl wrapped. If not Mikes Tint Shop does custom wraps.

It may depend on how smooth or textured the barrel is. That's where the adhesion may be an issue. The barrel shown with Rat Fink looked to be a metal drum, smooth from the get go. Same with bike plastics, the plastics when new are smooth. All you can do is take the barrel to a graphics shop and see what they say.

Shouldn't be a problem. Vinyl stretches so the very little slow expansion as that barrel fills shouldn't effect it much at all. Make sure whoever you have do it uses really good 3M material. It makes all the difference.

The vinyl does stretch a lot when installing but not sure how much it would once it was stuck to a surface !!
