Happy Veterans Day. Today is a day to celebrate the services of all US Military Verterans. Thank you to all that have served to keep us safe and protect our freedom.

Remember, today is a day to celebrate the services of Military Veterans. Not to be confused with Memorial Day, which honors those who have died while in service. I'm already seeing stuff posted, elsewhere, that is Memorial day related.

Nice reminder,Thank to all who have served. I'm in Glamis with two younger Vets. Mid 40's and late 50's. As we chat, I really reflect on the time they and others sacrificed out of their lives, not just what they saw or had to do. I think about what I was doing, while our Vets were out doing what needed to be done. Grateful to those who have served and are serving. God bless them!

11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month is Remembrance Day in Canada. It is to honor the Canadian fallen in all military conflicts.
It's also the anniversary date of the armistice that stopped the fighting, but didn't really end the Great War (1918).
Most business are closed and if you aren't at a ceremony, stop what you're doing and observe 2 mins of silence at 11AM.

A heart felt thanks to all the veterans here.

Took the kids and visited my dads grave today, Vietnam veteran, passed in 2012. Then took lunch over to visit with my mom. It’s been 9 years and he never met mine or any of his grandkids. It was good, but still a tough day for me.

My old man. 1967. I asked him why he looked so pissed. He said at the time he never thought he would make it home.
Super proud of him.
