Came up to the Bay Area to visit my son, see some racing and do a little wine tasting😊

Things were going pretty well - then on Sunday this happened… sitting having breakfast at Cafe Balboa and guess who shows up??

After having my breakfast ruined we headed to Napa.

Then wrapped up back in the city…

While the city wasn’t too bad in the areas we where - there was definitely some lawlessness going on - groups of dirt bikes roving, kids in packs riding bikes down the middle of the street, lots of straight pipe cars throttle tuning as they go…

All in all it was a great weekend visiting my son and enjoying a beautiful weekend in the San Fransisco area!

Haha - ok then.

I thought there may have been a few others that were at the event at Sonoma Raceway?

The Price family did a heck of a job with this event and the cars on hand were very diverse. I love watching vintage cars run at full speed!

I was supposed to head up there, but wasn’t feeling well so I decided to stay home. ☹️

Hopefully Pelosi showed up as you were finishing your meal. What's kind of funny, I was checking out the up-armored Burb, didn't even realize who got out at first 🤣
Beautiful cars though, and some beautiful scenery as well. From architectural and historical standpoints, I love the actual city. I just can't stand what's infested it:(

I saw the burbs pull up and fully thought it was a wrapper. She had all (except 1 guy?) big black bouncer type security. Not your typical secret service guys. In fact my son talked to one of her detail in the bathroom and he said they were not secrete service - he said they are from the Capitol police team.

I was surprised that such a high ranking figure would not have secret service? But with the job they have been doing lately, maybe I’d rather the police!

Edit - thx Ziggy😊

A few years ago, I had a fun scrap with that number 37 Porsche 910.. Fun stuff.

Wow that 910 is rare! I think they only made around 30 of them? I’d be hard pressed to even race that car !!

I was just trying to reference her to various words and you supplemented that beautifully with her (secrete)police entourage.....
She's a wretch which secretes a retch of a pig(aka bacon).

As I was coming up the hill to turn 2, I had a clear run to the apex, but backed out way early because I was not going to be "that guy" who took out the couple million dollar Porsche with a Datsun.. Then the Bobsey overslowed into 4, I locked up braking to miss it, and I decided I was not going to make a complete mess of it, so I just kept it reasonable except on the straights..

Great story. It’s amazing how different vintage cars are raced in the US versus Europe. They certainly seem a lot more willing to put a fender on somebody over there. I know here there are a lot of strict rules about contact. That’s a great story. Thanks for sharing!
