Whats your guys' take on this interview. He seems like a confrontational bitch. She has valid points about the population being part of the vaca industry.

Copper was completely pathetic. He would ask her a question and would never let her finish her first sentence and was laughing out loud at her when she did respond. It was a liberal ambush because she recently announced she wasn't a Democrat anymore.

She has been a Independent since 2009. ;)

Her two rambling interviews didn't sit too well with many people from Las Vegas or Nevada.

How can ANYBODY have watched that interview and come to any conclusion other than the Mayor is insane...???

Her basic message was"Let the free market determine how many people die."

And "Why should I have any sort of plan, I dont own a casino..."

Only those with TDS-20. Like you, you actually think after 200 interviews that Biden has slipped up, screwed up, forgot what he was talking about, and generally looked drunk or stupid would make a good president. So, yes, from your perspective she is insane. You also think killing babies in the womb is ok, leaving our kids unguarded is ok, and rampant illegal immigration is ok. So again, you are ok with the free market killing babies, but you know that’s at about 50 million free market abortions since you’ve escaped the liberal death sentence.

I know right! Most Mayors of large, diverse cities have 100% backing of every citizen. Surprised it’s not the case in LV.

I watched the interview and she was ambushed. By CNN. I also heard another interview with her where she was allowed to finish a sentence and she was saying all businesses should open up under they're own LIABILITY with RESTRICTIONS. Including casinos with tables of 3 people and social distancing in place everywhere. I hope some of the people bashing her statements agree because if you don't the country won't open for at least a year. Because that's exactly how it's going to happen. Whether it's tomorrow or 5 months from now.

If I didn't hear the interview where she was allowed to actually speak and finish a sentence I might think she was crazy too. Anderson Cooper did a great job with that.

At least pick an argument based on something related to the topic at hand.

Agreed. Open the economy back up & each individual business can figure out how to social distance & be as safe as possible. Libbies want the government to do everything for them because they are helpless, full of self-pity & resentment.

You asked if anyone else thought she was insane. It’s perfectly normal to align what you think in order to calibrate what, in your mind, would constitute an insane person.

You should try to remember what you wrote.

Mid may? No kidding. U think they're opening tomorrow? Itll take time to implement safety guidelines. That'll take weeks and it'll be a slow process. Everyone that wants people to go back to work is not swinging on Trumps ball sack. Many people are desperate to go back to work. Not swing on ball sacks.

I think people who want to get back to work and people who want to jumpstart this economy ARE the people who care about this country. They typically aren't lazy and are usually hard-working. People who swing on other people's sacks are those with nothing else to do, but sit on their bed under a security blanket afraid of the boogie man.

Carolyn Goodman for starters made the mistake agreeing to CNN interview. No Doubt she was assured the interview would be informative and civil. Why decent people show up on that leech Line knowing full well the interviewer hates them is major mistake.Trump insults the shit out of CNN reporters everyday at the briefing and they sit there like morons or will get shit canned if they do not march to Soros beat.

Wants to let people die? If you truly think this virus can be eradicated and won't kill if we all just listen to the CDC guidelines you are out of your mind.

You think a mayor with a common sense understanding of the fact that there WILL be deaths that are unstoppable is out of line or delusional?

Of course there will be deaths that are unstoppable... Its the ones that ARE stoppable that should drive our decision making.

Name the member of your family you are willing to let get infected in order to go back to work tomorrow.

With what the death rates are ...... Any of them. Same as the flu.

The stoppable deaths are FAR too low in number to justify the absolute amount of damage this shut down is doing to EVERYONE.

Better yet.... What about how this is effecting our already delicate children and their development? It's a known fact that social interaction is required for healthy development and we are depriving it COMPLETELY from our kids. I don't know about you but my kids have been devastated by this.

We could stop drowning deaths by preventing everyone from going on the water

Driving deaths by banning cars

Heart disease deaths by banning high cholesterol foods

We don't do that because it's obviously ludicrous, there is always an acceptable amount of risk FOR LITERALLY EVERYTHING in life, period.

Stay home if YOU want.

160 deaths in the entire state of NV.....

Tens upon tens of thousands of people out of work, billions and billions of dollars....

If people want to go do those things they should be able to. If people want to be a “control group” as the Mayor suggested, fine with me. It is their choice.

But they should not expect health care workers or ICU units to risk their own lives for their decisions contrary to the President’s suggested guidelines.

This isn’t like a drowning, stroke or diabetes, for those do not infect and put at risk the life of the healthcare worker.

Feel free to take the risk, but take the responsibility also.

Same death rate as the flu, no difference and your earlier numbers were pure bullshit as always.

COVID, COVID, COVID!!!!!!!

Maybe it’s time to consider a move to Cuckland where you’ll feel safe?

I must have missed the part where healthcare workers are currently held at gunpoint to provide care for the sick... link?

Did that happen for HIV/AIDS in 80s as well?

Wow.... Almost like.... hmmmmm, tens of housands of maids, bartenders, hairstylists, waiters, janitors, retail workers......

I wasn’t aware that maids, bartenders, hairstylists, waiters, janitors and retail workers have been moved to hospitals and ICU units and are now at risk of being fired and/or contracting a potentially deadly virus if they do not care for infected individuals who ignore the Presidents guidelines?

Purposely obtuse, pathetic.

You know damn well that they were just flat sent home, jobs gone, essentially fired.

This is why nobody takes your input seriously....

So healthcare workers should also not help smokers (or as you say risk their lives to try to help them since they smoked on purpose, same as protesting on purpose) right?

No!

I’m not aware of any scientific data that shows that the diseases directly related to and contracted from smoking are either contagious to healthcare workers or such treatment has resulted in numerous deaths of healthcare workers as has Covid 19.

This situation is unique in both the high rate of infection/transmission and adverse outcomes to the healthcare worker when they treat Covid 19 patients.

Appx 2.9 million Registered Nurses in the US, 29 healthcare worker deaths (all healthcare professions, not just nurses) from the virus per the latest stat i could find. Twenty - Nine.

Stop playing dumb.

So easy for people who are sitting at home on a small fortune to tell young lower-middle class people they need to do the same...

I'm fortunate enough to still be working, but there are thousands upon thousands with young kids not knowing how to buy food, or keep the power on, or the rent paid....

Certainly people in the west, with the exception of Washington state have been largely spared from bad health outcomes.

However my wife is from NY and has two friends who have lost parents to this and her brother is in the healthcare field.

As a result I have a different experience with this and can understand your view that I am drinking the kool aid.

like most things in life, views are influenced by personal experience or as the old saying goes a recession is when your neighbor loses their job, a depression is when you lose your job.

Or put another way as long as the healthcare worker losing their life is the other guy, what’s really the big deal? It’s statistically no big deal.

Pure bullshit and you know it.

I have repeatedly stated that anyone who wants to go out and do whatever they want should do so. Hell, knock yourself out and then go hug your grandma.

My only comment is that if one does not want to take the advice of President Trump and his scientists, it seems to me that they should not expect healthcare workers who are taking his advice to risk infection to themselves.

Such a view seems consistent with conservative values of freedom and taking responsibility for ones actions.

You keep saying "his" scientist, "his" doctors but most have these people have been in the position they are since the '80s and '90s..ffs

But if he was to fire them and ask for a second opinion you would bitch about that also!

I don’t believe president trump is a shrinking violet. He has fired many people in his administration’s scientific community including a high profile one this week. If he had other advice he would present it.

He is in charge and we should take his advice. He has ultimate authority and has repeatedly exercised it in the past.

Until he puts out other advice I figure we should follow it. It’s the least amount of respect we should show him even if we disagree with him.

Smokers tend to have much higher rates of, COPD, Heart Disease and Cancer. That in a nutshell makes them at risk. Your entire diatribe on protesters putting themselves AT RISK is the same argument.

How many healthcare workers die annually from complications from the workplace? Without context numbers mean nothing. Plus, you think that just cause they are healthcare workers that they will be effected by this virus differently? Yes the infection rate would likely be higher due to the much higher risk or exposure, but the death rate or severity rate would be the same as the general population, or potentially lower due to most medical professionals likely being in better physical condition.

It is precisely why I talk to as many Healthcare workers I know to get their direct view of their particular hospital. Only one nurse said their er has been plenty busy with cv19 which is in south orange county. She didn't exactly say they were slammed but not quiet like most others have been.

At least pick an argument based on something related to the topic at hand.

This started out as us giving the hospitals time to deal with an influx of patients. Now we are being told if we go outside we will die. Even in NY the survival rate is in the mid 90% (of confirmed cases)

If you don't want to go outside, then don't. People want to work, businesses want to open.
