Oh shit, you weren't supposed to see this, you're on a need-to-know basis and you don't need to know. LolNow ain't that something! When I was AF LE at Vandenberg, we knew something was gonna be launched in about two days 'cause all my AF Security Police friends went to 12on- 12 off - very tacticool stuff.
I'd ask when the launch was happening and they all claimed it was OPSEC and couldn't tell ANYONE!
I learned (quite by accident) that all I needed to do was to head to a certain bar in Lompoc where all the civilian contractors went in the evenings and ask them. I not only got what day, but what MINUTE it was going up as well as what the payloads were and expected missions of those payloads.
And now its all on the forums LOL
Did I miss it or was it failure to launch?
LOL! You mean there's a difference between am and pm? Oh well I was up anyway!Tonight!

TextbookThat didn't look like it went well...
That's the reusable part of the rocketHot damn, way cool !! BUT, what is the part that dropped off and was slowly falling back to earth ? These were taken from North San Diego County, the final pic shows that trailing, falling part dropping to earth --- hopefully into the ocean !!

That is stage 1 they would normally reuse it but this time they are trying something new. They are going to come in at much more of an angle and try to set it down in the ocean neatly just like it would be on the boat. My son who just started work at Spacex and this rocket has the first parts he built going up.Hot damn, way cool !! BUT, what is the part that dropped off and was slowly falling back to earth ? I knew it was tonight, but I must have been the only one! I walked out of the grocery store and 30 people were looking up and on their phones. A few were on the verge of full panic. They were really freaking out.
We did the same thing. We were pulling into a restaurant here in Camarillo for dinner and everyone was in the parking lot looking up and snapping pics.
We got one.....nothing like others have posted but impressive (to us) all the same[emoji6] View attachment 609357
