V drive coupler question(s)

20 Hallett SS with a blown 540, T400 and C500. Putting this all together from a garage floor of boxes...

Question is the spline drive setup. Is there supposed to be a dampener along with the flex plate to mount the spline drive flange?

Depends on the model take some pics of what you have.

I ran a heavy duty damper plate in the past, but they would only last a few seasons. After talking to Phil Bergeron, I ended up with the “hard” mount. I believe it was a TCI product. The Hallett sounds bad ass!

Post up some pics of your parts. Most of the Art Carr type spline drives were set up with Clutch style flywheels which the drive plate bolts to
